What is the best part of working at the company?
The company was great to work for when it was family own. Nothing to complain about. under the new ownership I wouldn't recommend anyone to work their.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The company that bought them constantly change how things are done, They are currently trying to push out there current employee with shady tactics  There is zero communication between management and employees. forcing us to leave questionable safety issue on the road. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
work environment is depressing everyone is unhappy.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It's depressing little to no work to be done.

Under the original owners it was a good company to work for; but since the new owners it's gone to he|| in a hand basket. The shop morale is terrible due to improper working conditions, cutting corners to cut cost, and just overall shady business choices. Overall I wouldn't recommend working here to my worst enemy. It's a shame that after 100 YEARS of good business and valuing employee relationships, the new owners have run it into the ground and lost almost all of their loyal employees.

The easy way is just to go ahead with you and your family and friends with

Established company, pay was not great, but the benefit package didn't cost much and they matched RRSP for office staff. I wanted to do my best at my position so the stress level was very high due to workload. If you are ok with status quo, it would not be stressful. The Penner family was very understanding and the door was always open to talk.

I was a Owner/Operator there and typical day was either loading/unloading or both and driving to or from customers. I was long haul so typical travel time was 1-3 days then deliver, reload and on to the next customer. Management was great as were all of the office staff very helpful and understanding.

They are really helpful and nice people to work with. Time at work goes by very fast. The customers are really nice and the environment at the office is always easy on you. Salary in the beginning is not that great but you got raised periodically and work life balance is wonderful I'm happy to work here

Lack of management and direction leads to low morale and under motivated employees.   Very limited structure and no chance for professional growth/development. New owners cut to the bone, no raises, no bonuses anymore. Employees are told they make too much money and are lucky to have jobs at all.

No job is perfect, but the good far outweighs the bad here. I was there for 25 years before life took me elsewhere. Otherwise I would have stayed. The department managers could probably use some training in people management. But it is a good place to spend 8-9hrs of your day working.

No relationship all new management you a number now not a human don’t have nothing more to say go and you may like it its not for everyone they have car parking with plugging service is not bad trailers service usually fast on time

Used to be the best company to work for. But after they sold new management. Are power hungry and have driven it to the ground. Morale is an all-time low.
