The best things about this company:
- great balance between micro and macro-management
- broad exposure to engineering work 
- given considerable sick/personal time, and they are reasonable on how you may use it
- employees are relaxed, driven and actually care about their quality of work

You can expect to work long hours, especially in the spring, summer and autumn. But if you don't want to work that much management is understanding and they will work around your needs. 
There are many recent graduates who are looking to really kick their careers off, and so they work hard and care about what they do. 

Some cons:
- bonus and raises aren't phenomenal, but other perks make up for them
- somewhat old fashioned in that there isn't that much digitization in the material. It leads to cluttered offices with boxes of reports everywhere.

Absolutely terrible place to work. 
-The managers micro-manage everything you do and don't communicate with each other (expect to do the same task at least 3 or 4 times because they can't make up their minds). 
-Your work will be horribly criticized as you can do no good in their eyes.
-They say you can take vacation or time off but that's a lie. As soon as you ask they start gunning for you immediately.
-They belittle you and make you feel worthless.
-Zero chance of advancement in the company.
-Terrible mileage reimbursement. 

If you have just graduated university/college and are looking to advance your career in engineering and geology this is the place to do it. You will be exposed to various sites depending on your qualifications: roadway and materials inspection on construction sites, site surveying, geo-environmental sampling, hydrogeology and reporting. Management works very hard, often working in the field themselves and are very relaxed and friendly. The company is very accommodating for both work schedules and career goals. 

It was going ok before the COVID-19 Pandemic. The President sent out memos refusing to allow any employees from working at home even though most of the non-field staff could work from home no problem. Instead of making the employees health and safety the top priority they blamed the situation on the "media hype". Peto and the president do not care whether those working there got sick and infected their families.

Company’s admin department doesn’t care about the employees at all. Company don’t provide proper ppe during the winters. They don’t want to pay overtime. No night premiums. If your hours are less than 40, then they’ll use your vacation hours without your consent to pay 40 hours. No future growth. No yearly increment. Instead of increasing your pay they’ll reduce the pay rate by giving inflation reasons 

The management is seriously lacking leadership. They do not care about your safety nor wellness. I mean... what kind of company asks employees to get their own ppe. They for sure view the employees as a replaceable part. I have never seen an engineering company with such high turnover rate. Also, there is no room for advancement. The pay is lower than the industry average. Overall, not a very good workplace to stay long term.

Immensely appreciated the time I spent working for this company. They showed respect and made sure I felt like is part of the team. They treat you like family and continued to help during times of need with very flexible work schedules 

I have worked here a long time, started at the bottom and now I am closer to the top.  I quit once, long ago, because there are always things about work which you don't like.  However, I came back to PML  because for me knowing and trusting the people you work with is worth a lot particularly if you are a professional. 

The hours were long and you didn't know what the day looked like until you got there. You also didn't know when you were done for the day until you were done.  Some days were 7-3 others were 7-1030pm and there was no asking to stay you stayed at the job site until you were done.
