Worst place to work for, they pay ratail wages yet expect you to work 5 trades out of the truck they assign you. No option to go home at a decent time, they forced  minimum 10 hour days with extra work on the way back to the shop. Trucks are constantly monitored on GPS and not for safety reasons but to call us at the end of the day and make us stop by another site on the way home, it happened daily. The only training we recieved is a binder with the in struction manuals and an expectation to have it all perfected the next day. Had no welding experience yet got scolded for trying to practice in the shop when there was a little bit of down time because my manager says its too expensive to have a guy practicing at $20/hr. They say feel free to call in at anytime if you need help yet they'll criticize you when ever you call. Also the benefits are not good and it takes a year before you can recieve anything, I asked HR. I wanted to leave the company for a long time but with a bad economy it was difficult to find another job elswhere which is the only reason I stayed for almost a year.

The Team & Management is amazing!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It's feast or famine with hours. Starting April till November is insane busy. Rest is slow No OT.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It has it challenges like most... overall it's changing from old school to better changes. It's a great company



What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Be open for anything to go sideways. Can't describe a typical day. No such thing.

First thing in the morning we would go up to our supervisors and get the plan for the day than we would load our truck and trailer with the equipment and supplies needed for the day. Usually you would bounce around from foreman to foreman but when that wasn't the case you got to work with one foreman for a couple weeks and that was nice. The hardest part of the job would have to be the weather but we could stop and warm up on the real cold days or stay in the truck if it were thunder an lightning until it past so our lives were never in danger and our superiors were okay with that.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great people and learned alot doing fabrication,putting things together

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Rush orders trying to build a gate in less then 5 minutes so the customer is not waiting long and it's just you working in you're station

Was a great work place and busy

Busy days build lots of gates unless you're out in the field

This is a poorly run business with very bad management during the interview I was promised everyone there loved their job and this couldn't be further from the truth. If your looking to have a job just for the sake of it then apply here. If your applying expecting a future run far far away ans apply elsewhere 

There was a request for full time with over-time, and straight forward work. With 800 items to manufacture you kind of feel like working all day and night to get the contract done. The company has shown a recent attempt to innovate and improve their yard. etc..

I got a lot of experience in the field with various types of fence. Co workers are always negative in some way. The set up they have for mobilization is organized and one of the best I've ever seen.

Room for advancement within the company, felt as part of ‘the family’ from the start 
Cliquey with little HR resources to look to for help ........... great variety of personalities amongst coworkers 


                                    

This job was extremely physically demanding and took a huge toll on my body but they pay was quite high for someone who just got out of highschool/was in highschool

They don't really care how you get the job done. Just get it done. Very rare to see a coworker smiling and enjoying the day. Long days, dangerous work sometimes.
