What is the best part of working at the company?
I work for a health authority .Essentially I work for the government . Excellent benefits You start @ 4 weeks holiday .Never been laid off . Good working conditions . Unionized .Highly recommend this for anyone with a young family. Municipal pension.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working alone on nightshift / holidays as the only person responsible for a second class plant .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Excellent . Fair , inclusive , unionized .

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Monitoring entire physical plant .Monitoring fire suppression system Performing rounds in mechanical  rooms , chiller rooms , taking pressure / temperature readings . Performing chemical tests on boiler water and condensate and adding required chemicals to  boilers as per the tests .Adjusting setpoint correction as per computer monitoring feedback .

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great benefits and pay. They are also good in fha employees. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Challenging patients, longer working hours, heavy work load

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Working in FHA is a multi cultural work settings, so its really nice.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Just a regular not so busy day

What is the best part of working at the company?
Various learning opportunities on the job from staff;  available parking for staffing;  lectures/in-services for staffing on many different platforms.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Unfortunately, there is bulling/ disregarding staff / employees not staying in the company/ no alternative for jobs .

Faced paced, Time goes by fast when your in the flow, I enjoy helping those in need, Millions of medical supplies get shipped out a day, that's rewarding.

Slow move, really depends on which team you work with, could be good could be bad, depends on who your boss is. Be careful when choosing the job and the boss.  

Pros: it's OK for compensation; and work-life balance, if you are looking for a job to pay your bills, work here. 

 It's a good place for junior staff, to gain experience.  Management-level individuals, it's a hit-and-miss

stable safe job low stakes because its housekeeping but also communication isnt very open because there isnt one place to communicate all the rules, its sort of shared through word of mouth so some colleagues have different sets of information about how stuff is done

If i could, i would have worked there until i retire :D prior to PHSA i had about 5 years of experience and no company came close to phsa. Especially IMITS had the best people 

For those who wish to be a paramedic, BCEHS/PHSA is the best place to be.
For those who do not want to suffer the moral injuries and ethical issues due to incompetent leadership, stay away



Lovely people to work for, but lots of the full time positions are filled with casuals. Because of this, it’s hard to get a full time position to become eligible for the benefits and pension
