A family run business, headed by a group of people lacking in compassion and the ability to relate to their employees.  The business is financially stable but the rewards of success are not shared with employees.  No health benefits plan, two weeks vacation regardless of years of service.  Salary increases for hourly staff are often pennies per hour.  A sad place to spend any part of your career.

There is a severe management issue within the company where everything appears to be from the previous century. From basic to how the different sectors interact, everything is done poorly. Management is recklessly bullying everyone without regard to how it actually will affect the company. This company is the type of company where its employees learn how to harass others from their managers. People who have the option to pick and choose will leave after 2-3 months. 

The systems and procedures need improvement/modernization. Compensation packages need to be improved for all staff across the board. Middle management needs training and upper management needs a better understanding of the business. Turnover of staff is increasing because it’s basically not worth it to feel that way and not be properly paid. The product is unique and has so much potential and some of the people are wonderful. Learned a lot but so happy it’s over.

Cons:
-Very low pay even as a full-time employee
-Very Poor benefits
-No commission on art sales
-Too much workload 
-No compensation for commuting to work
-No designated space for employees to eat/share a meal together

There is  a lot of work need to get done from the top management. It is simply the majority of the staff are resistant. The hardest part of the job is communication with the shop production staff due to language barrier. The Art team feels they are superior than others as they feel they are main core of the organization. Accounting Dept holder is difficult to work with so do the IT department.

If you're super confident and can stand up to bullies, this is the place to be. Minimal training is provided, which means either figuring out company policy on your own or having to ask the other showroom consultants, most of which are condescending and competitive. The showroom is beautiful, the clients are great and there are some lovely people on the floor but show a shred of weakness and you'll be mince meat. 

Loved the customers and introducing amazing art and design concepts to the retail and designers market. Learn amazing work ethics and drive to succeed.  The design industry is the most interesting fascinating and rewarding position I have had. Love my job sad to go! 13 years is a long time. I feel like I have grown with the company and have become a part of the family.

Build your expertise with confidence as the staff know everything about the industry. It's very easy to mix career with life for somebody who enjoys art. A place thats seems more like play then work.

This was a fun job and my supervisor was amazing. She gave me an opportunity to advance my career and was the best boss I've had in a long time.
This is an easy going company with a relaxed environment and extremely helpful employees. It is a great place to work.
