I worked for Pidherney’s for one season. It wasn’t bad when I first started, great crew, great foreman and lots of work although the pay was on the low end. I ran a skid steer for them and was promised to be moved up to operating heavier equipment shortly. Towards the end of the season I was moved to an out of town job with a different foreman and was treated like absolute dirt because I didn’t fit it with his clique. After a few weeks of that I was moved back to my old crew and was told by the office I would be hired back the following year. I wasn’t really interested in returning anyway and never received a phone call back from them. I later found out the other foreman that I worked with placed me and a bunch of others on the “do not call back” list. They promise you the world and do not deliver. They’re a shady company to work for and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Worked as a Loader operator in Anzac. Being as this was my first operator job since I got out of trade school, I had no complaints. I learned tons about how working in construction is. co workers were excellent, Always willing to help when needed. Always cracking jokes but still know when it's crunch time. Still talk to some of those guys to this day. 

yes, the hours are long. yes, at times it can be very fast paced, but the days fly by. The 4 months I worked there felt like a few weeks. The pay was great for having no operator experience too. 

If you like staying busy, are able to take a joke, don't mind rotation work and can work under pressure, I highly recommend.  

The environment is fast paced due to the diversity of the company. Come to work, do your job and go home. Professional employer hands down! 

I have worked for many different companies over the years but have never worked for a company that offers as many advancement opportunities as Pidherney's.

Feedback is appreciated, however, not always acted on as can be expected. 

Completely dependant on dispatch for a job and a paycheque.  They run everything through dispatch, equipment ops, grass mowers, and shovel handlers.  Back office has worst attitude.  Warehouse staff has the people skills of a goth rock on heroin.  Hope you don’t like being spoke to like an adult, because some 30 something foreman is going to talk at you like a birth defect water head.  Owners kids run the show, and will also burry it

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
stressful and unattentive just a warm body behind the wheel

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
10 to 14 hours a day go till you drop

We worked between 50 and 70 hours a week. Sometimes we would go for 2 weeks straight and only get a day or two off. However the crews are made up of good people, and the morale is quite high among workers. I enjoyed my time with Pidherneys but I only wish they could offer better wages.

I have worked here for several years, it is by far the worst managed company I have ever worked for, they do not promote from within, they don’t appreciate or acknowledge quality work. No stat. holiday pay and no work on stats. , so you loose pay every time there is a stat. holiday. Stupid !

I enjoy working at Pidherney's, unfortunately I have to do what I need now for my family and find a stable job that works for us, or else I wouldn't be leaving.  Worked with some great co workers, to foreman's, all the way to the consultants for other Company's. I need to keep my options open for our future.

Not alot of work for what they do, they hire lots and work some people and make the other sit lots. However the pay was amazing and benefits if the oil field is booming or you get on the Civil side of the work place it can be an amazing job. But as I said downside is when there's no work there's litterally no work.

If you can get in the boys club you will do well. keep the Chapstick handy.
Pid's keeps rotating the old equipment out so you most likely wont have to operate old equipment. The problem is they have so much equipment its hard for the poor beat down mechanics to keep up with service and repairs.
