PJS PETS

a typical day at work would start off before the store opened. i would go in and tidy any mess that might have been left from the night shift, help to tidy the shelves and dust. unlock and open up the store. 
once the store was open it quickly became a fast pace job. starting with cleaning out animal and bird cages, feeding and giving water to all small animals. all while helping people who had questions or concerns. after the cages and pets were taken care of it was time to stock the shelves and make the store look clean and presentable so it was an easy and fun place to shop. i always take pride in a job well done. the easiest part of the job was being able to talk with other employees and learning new tasks through the day. a very hard part of the job was to keep up with all the customers asking questions while the employees need help and the store still had work to be done. it was very fast paced environment. my favorite part of the job was being able to see the animals and customers engage with each other and see how happy they both are together.

I would say that PJ'S pets is a very eco-Friendly environment for all animals, and their owners. What i learned from PJ'S pets is That working as a team was fun and getting to know the employees was great, as they were all very helpful and kind. The Management was very great as well. They made sure everyone was on Task and doing their jibs as they were supposed to. The workplace culture is very modern, and thats what i loved about PJ'S pets. The hardest part o\about the job was the rushed customers probably i mean we all get very rushed in our day with other things to do but when they were talking mean i think thats the hardest part. The most enjoyable at of PJ'S pets was Getting to know the employees and The staff members.

A typical day at work is not so busy because I worked an average of one day a week.

I learned about all the essentials needed for most of the animals they sell.

The manager had goal for each person on how much we sold. I was always one of the top sellers and always met the goal.

I made a few great friends there. However, I was treated unfairly and there was more competition working there than teamwork. 

There was nothing hard about it at all. I learned everything taught quickly. 

Spending time with the animals on my break was probably the most enjoyable part.

Fun place to work.  Everyone is really nice, customers and coworkers.  I've learned time management skills, deadlines, and how to keep the employees under me at work.  Hardest part of the job would be the part of my paperwork.  Things can get confusing, but the guys at head office are friendly so if I have any questions I just call and they give me a hand and a laugh at the same time.  Most enjoyable part of the job is the interaction with my coworkers.  Everyone is really nice and funny, so it makes the day go even faster as you work.

When I started at PJ's pets I was doing a coop job,
so i did not get paid.
It was a really amazing experience because I love animal and I spent the all day with them.
Some times it gets boring when you do not have any pet.
But in general everything was perfect.

I got to get some work experience and what it's like to be around employees and how to help customers in need of information to find what they need. I enjoyed working there and would love to work at any pet store that will accepted me with some accommodations along.

It was a great environment to work in 
The staff were always friendly as well as the customer. It was nice to experience so many repiet customers 
But the best part was watching the turnaround for the animals

Difficult company to work for, no longer in existance. No promotion opportunities or competitive pay.  The store I worked at had a fabulous team to be part of and the work was enjoyable, through labour intensive.

A typical day at PJ's Pets would be stocking shelves, feeding animals and cleaning cages. I was hired by YMCA for that job so my manager did not train me much so my co-workers did. I had a good relationship with all my co-workers so I looked forward to going to work.

I always enjoyed going into work. Loved helping people and being with animals all day long. Everyone I worked with were very nice people. Loved taking the animals out for the customers and seeing everyone's smile when they went home with a knew animal.
