This job in my 30 years in the industry,was by far, the worst experience that I have ever had. The lies and miss communication that happens between managment was off the charts for the couple days  was there. The labourers did not even have a shovel, there were no tools or proper gear for lifting or saftey even provided. After every little job I asked I the job was completed to satisfaction, every time I was told yes, every time a different level of management would come by I would be sent back to do something different. After re-doing the same job over and over 5 times because of a difference of opinion with management, I was told that I was too slow. This company is toxic and the best job to have in your rear view! AS I stated, the WORST! experience in 30 years!

They work you for hours and hours, sometimes more then 20 hour shifts, call you in on extremely short notice sometimes expecting you to be there within 3 to 4 hours after completing a shift, theres no safety, no work /life balance, this is an awful company to work for, I worked here for winter season plowing snow, they abruptly stopped doing the snow contracts and didn't inform anyone, the management is the worst I've ever seen, I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy, this company is a total joke

Pay is good. When I was there  management struggled to even understand Hours of Service, though I hear that's improved. Check your pay stubs as they  "forget" hours. Most equipment is good, but some is awful and they will blame you when it breaks down. There are people who have been with company for awhile who are on a power trip and will yell at you over radio, or load you from up high to try and hurt you or break your truck. However most people are great.  They contacted me the following year after I worked for them, and offered me a job. I got all ready to go, even signed an employment offer, and I called them back after a week of waiting and they said never mind we don't have anything for you.

They feed off of treating their employees like absolute garbage. The communication is highly lacking between foremans and workers to the point where zero work gets done. They are an unreliable company that is only hungry for the money and could care less if it destroys your mental health in the process. They are unsafe to the point where foremans are literally wrestling their staff near open holes . Poor management and highly recommend that absolutely no person consider working for this company and/or hiring them in the future. 

No complaints  so far.
Foremans, Superintendents and project managers are all approachable and give everyone the time of day.
Work is consistent, if you need time off just give them some notice and its not a problem. 
Great pay for in town work, union with matching pension, I've  been here 7 x montha and with some top up i already have 7k in my pension.
Respectful co workers and you can have a laugh without fear of retribution, as long as the job gets done and your safe doing it.
All they ask is that you can do what you say you can do, do it safely and fill out your flha !

One of the best places o have worked at they strive to make the work environment enjoyable

Operating all types of equipment even help out underground and ground crews when needed

Unrealistic deadlines, underfunded and never have the right tools for the job. Hands down the worst bid jobs ive ever seen. To many buddys of buddys in management that are severely incompetent, they have management that can run a job into the ground and just get moved to the next one and leave the mess repeatedly but its ok if your buddys with someone. They need to clean house from the top down and stop blaming short comings on the people in the field doing the work. 

I had a great experience and felt good working here.  The staff was knowledgeable, answered any and all questions during morning tool box meeting all concerns would be filled out on a daily FLHA (field level hazard assessment).  Safety was handled very well.  
I highly recommend this company.  It is a union (CLAC) company with great employees and very good management.  Looking forward to continue with this company.
