A typical day consisted of the servers being brought to tears by the owner. I saw it happen too often with to many different people for it to be a coincidence or an error on the servers part. There were originally supposed to be multiple people with the same position as me but all quit because the work environment wasn't healthy. I was the only expo for most of my time there as even the guy who trained me quit and I was left without guidance or an idea of what to do. My job was difficult not because of the specified responsibilities but because of the work that was piled on top of me because we were understaffed. As an expo I wa supposed to be directing servers and making sure the orders that went up were corrctly made. I ended up being a prep cook, dishwasher, server, new hire trainer, and janitor all while I was paid the minimum wage of my province. The work overload was due to the fact that the environment was so toxic that most people were out of there after a month or less. The only people who stayed were ones who didn't have any other choice. The management was unprofessional, making rude comments and remarks to those under them and being unreachable through any means of communication outside of work. Hopefully this has changed over the past two years but I do not have hope for any of it.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best thing about working at pony corral? Staff vape on the floor and you can constantly have your phone out

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Most stressful part? Going into your shift not knowing if the owner is going to verbally abuse you for using the wrong napkin as a coaster

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Unprofessional, humouring, lazy, abusive, stressful,  dramatic

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Clock in, wait every hopefully 30 minutes for a customer to do something

The boss is mean and a hot head whose known for yelling at staff members and making them cry, as well as other things. Likes to come into work a lot and make it stressful for everyone. Management is okay for the most part, likes to complain a lot, some takes after the boss’s mentality and doesn’t treat staff well (that’s putting it nicely). Long hours with no break. Or get cut really early or told not to come in which is a waste of time. High turnover rate for staff because of toxic work environment, lots of complains. Some staff are good coworkers but again-high turnover. Tips are decent if a server, but wage is minimum. Schedule is fairly flexible which is a plus. 

I worked at Pony Corral for almost two years  and have seen around 35 employees come and go. Thus, it is always understaffed and stressful. Management is super unapprochable so you will have to figure everything out on your own. I have many more stories but some of them are so unsettling I won't be able to post them on here. Plus, they give you no breaks but still deduct break pay from your paycheque because "You take your break when you drink water or go to the bathroom"......
Please do not work here. It is not worth it!!!!!

fyi. I worked here several years ago and this has been the worst workplace I've ever worked at. 


I've been working here for a little over a year and the were alright at first but after a while they started to give me less and less shifts every time I asked for more hours it was "okay, will do" and I somehow end up with less shifts then I started with

There’s no job security here. Instead of giving you a chance, they just fire you. They go through so many employees. The owner is awful and doesn’t appreciate his employees. You can tell everyone just doesn’t care about their job there. 

They continue to post job ads but frequently fire people. Hiring all positions constantly. 

learned how to deal with high stress situations and deal with customers. Met lots of wonderful people there i consider good friends. Hardest part of my job was working late nights and losing my days. Most enjoyable part was the free food and the people working there

Owner seems to be pretty rude at time,  and environment would get a yad toxic at times,  but just put your head In and work, and the money Is mediocre to good on the weeknds

Work was good there.

Management is great! Hours can be long but you know that when you accept the job. I had no problems with the owner, just do the job and don’t have attitude. Overall was a very good place to work and everyone was friendly. 10/10
