Part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, this company has a strong financial base with systems and structure that works well, good benefits, and is large enough to be able to find positions in other divisions.  Culture and team satisfaction vary depending on the leadership style and ability across different working groups.  As with all big CROs, workload is high, resources are tight, roles are narrowly defined, and the risk for staff reductions always present, though salaries do try to reflect that and a lot can be learned.

Despite employing a large number of Canadians, there's a significant HR service gap throughout the employee experience with no apparent motivation to improve: background check vendors demanding US-specific documents; benefit programs mistakenly rolled out to all NA yet only applicable to US; helpdesks unable to respond to Cdn-specific questions or even find you on staff lists; missing or incorrect self-serve guidance policy/procedure documents, and more.  Strong self-advocacy and connection to Cdn peers is advised.

New management is in place now but at the time I felt like I could be let go at any time and that's exactly what happened. Worked hard at my job and did more then I was asked but poor management won the war.

I felt like I was working for a pharmaceutical company in that upper management kept the team informed about the entire project and took the time to ensure all had realistic projections.  Great company!!


Friendly working environments with good training. The staffs and Management are amazing. In general, a very good experience.
