PRIORITY RESTORATION

I have worked here for almost 10 years now.  Like anything in life, you get out what you put in.  I have always enjoyed the work and the people here and have always put my best foot forward, and have also been rewarded over the years.  I have also seen may other people rewarded with opportunities to grow internally which is an obvious goal of the managers.

The culture has continued to improve throughout the years and it is a total team environment.  There is not a single person unwilling to help you out.  It is a fast paced environment (which I love) and you have the opportunity to help people out at a time of need.  While it's true it can be demanding at times, the company is always flexible when you need.  There is a genuine care for the employees working here.

I have not worked at any other restoration company, but have seen people leave here for more "opportunity", only to return with a realization the grass isn't greener on the other side.  Highly recommend working here if you are looking for a rewarding career and willing to put in work hard.

Worked there as an Emergency Service Technician and loved the work environment. Worked collaboratively with a group of like-minded people who were fun to work with and easy to talk to. Tasks were delegated fairly and got great satisfaction from finishing work on a job site. Management is organized and always stay in contact for the on-site crew to answer any questions they have or addressing any concerns. Lots of room for growth, worked with emergency service technicians who made their way into management positions by working hard consistently, delivering positive results and getting along with team members. Lots of overtime opportunities and fair compensation!

What is the best part of working at the company?
People feels like big family , safety the care of the company for their personnel, you can have overtime instead of doing 2 jobs 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Is hard to find anything stressful in there because you have all your answers in site doc applications that we all use in our job site and unless you have anything which put you under stress or pressure all people and management are eager to help you out so no stress

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Can't find the word but is just amaizing to work in deferent parts of the city and with deferent culture of the people 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Every day there is deferent and that's the best part of the job

They hire you and put you right into work and expect you to understand and know what you are doing with out any hands on training. For on call it is a set day every week for that month and one whole weekend out of each month which is fine but they expect you to be at the shop with in 30 minutes even if you live outside of the city and regardless of how bad road conditions are. There are times where you have to work in horrible work environment conditions like around human feces and needles that people used to get high with no proper protective gear to protect yourself from those hazards. my time working here had been miserable 

I've been awarded with plenty of opportunities for advancement at Priority. I have full autonomy within my role and have been able to customize my approach to my work so it fits my abilities and skillet (no cookie cutter approach here!). 

Ownership/Management has improved transparency with business decisions and individual performance over the years.

Having fun at work is encouraged and there is a definite sense of community across the entire organization.

During busy periods your work/life balance can be affected but you are recognized in other ways (incentives, extra holidays, trips, lunches, gift cards, etc.).

I would recommend this company to anyone who likes to work hard & play hard!

High turnover rate. Constantly people leaving.  More than 10 people left in a 4 mth period. Lack of direction and conflicting ideas from management. Lack of organizational structure and behaviour. Inadequate management and sense of direction.  Tense environment to work in.  Lots of swearing in the office.  A lot of people aren't happy working there and only does it for money. Not a great career opportunity. Don't expect to be happy working there, that part of your life you will never get back.  Coworkers are nice, that's the only good part.

I have been a technician with Priority Restoration for 10 years. I have been put on many different training courses to be able to improve myself and broaden my skill set. This is a great company to work for, there is opportunity to move about and improve yourself. Management are very approachable and do their best to take care of the staff. If you want to succeed you need to put in the effort, If you are just loooking for a paycheck then this is not the place for you. That’s not the culture here

It's a good place to work if you like working alot, problem solving and overcoming daily challenges, the emergency manager and assistant manager are very understanding and great people as well as very knowledgeable if advice was ever needed to complete a job, very safety oriented and genuine cared about you as an employee

Dehumanizing company.  I'm not a snowflake either.  I'm a hard worker.stay away from this business.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dehumanizing company.! Trust me .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is OK but politics!!! 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
All good had a great time. But again HR. Omg

Typical day would be loading van's up with supplies for either a mould. water, fire, or asbestos claim. the most enjoyable part was being able to demo everything that was affected in someone's house, the co-workers were amazing, some where almost like family, but in the end there was no work coming in and to many people working there
