Working at Puma has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From day one, the team made me feel welcomed and supported. The company culture emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and passion—not just for sportswear, but for innovation and personal growth. My role in retail operations gave me hands-on experience with visual merchandising, customer engagement, and brand storytelling. The training was thorough, and management genuinely cared about my development, often encouraging feedback and providing mentorship. One of the highlights was being part of product launch events—there’s a real energy when a new line drops, and it’s exciting to be a part of that buzz. Puma also offers great employee discounts and a strong focus on work-life balance, which made it easier to stay motivated and positive. Overall, it’s a dynamic workplace with great people and plenty of opportunities to grow. I’d highly recommend it to anyone passionate about sports, fashion, or retail.

Honestly, it was the worse job I have ever I had.
Store Mamagement was either not there or if in they were in the office. Senior management from Ontario never would do anything about it. You were expected to bust your butt all day at the store and then be on call for all the hormonal high-school kids to call or text at anytime of the day or night with their ridiculous excuses. Days off were never days off, between calls from the store, text messages from employees or phone call from senior management in Ontario, a day off never felt like you got away from it all. 
If you followed directions from.store management it always came back to bite you in the butt, because senior management thought you should have handled it a different way. No training ever. You had to learn everything through trial and error. 

A typical day at work consisted of working with the team members to maintain a clean and organized store, all while making sure that customers were taken care and prioritize their satisfaction. I leaned how to manage my time, multi-task, organizational skills and my interpersonal skills were thoroughly polished. The hardest part of the job was after very busy days cleaning up the store at closing, a lot of work was required in order to bring it the store back to 100%. I enjoyed everything about the job, even the cleaning up! It helped make me realize that even in active and fun jobs, a strong sense of duty is required.

Nothing - maybe the discount !

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management picks heavy favourites- scheduling is a mess - no guidance between management- one will tell you one thing the other will make you do it over again the “correct” way. Very messy, small,  and unorganized back room - cause for hazards. Lots of gossip & remarks about customers over the walkie talkie head sets. Only focuses on shoplifting & sales. Everything else is up to you to figure out. Have fun!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very favourite heavy between management and employees

the coworkers and most of the managers were super nice. Honestly very easy-going, did little work really. I was working another job and they were very nice about it. You still have to show you care but thats a given. overall a positive environment. was sad I had to quit so soon due to moving. nice location too, not too busy but not boring. even give you three shirts and a pair of puma shoes for free to start, and discounts are excellent. 

I worked so hard there for the manager to offer a .25 cent raise and tried to make it sound like it was an amazing opportunity. Then got hired to supervisor which they made me do way too much for not even close to what the other supervisors were being paid, all for them to drop me down to associate again because they “didn’t have the budget” even though I did more than 2/3 other supervisors. Also made me do 12-16 hour shifts as a favour to help out the manager and other supervisors just to be cut hours in the week to avoid giving me overtime pay. 

While working there for my short tenure it was easy to see who was friends with the district manager and regional managers. Did not matter if you had past problems with the company you we're still granted a position in management as long as you maintained a friendship with the company. Example: Manager goes on maternity leave...is replaced with ex employee who had past abuse warnings with the company... instantly promoted to manager.

Great people to work with. As long as you do your job there is always room for laughter and jokes. You get repeat customers so you get to know them on a personal basis and sometimes helping them doesn't feel like work. Hardest part of the job is constantly putting the shoes back in the box when cusotmers don't do it themselves. The staff discount is amazing and every 4 months you receive one free pair of shoes and tops to promote Puma.

Absolutely terrible environment to work in. Wouldn’t recommend anyone working for this company  it is unorganized. Head office doesn’t know what they are doing and neither does management. Had benefits for the whole time I was working there and was only told when I quit. People are given write ups for extremely stupid reasons and time off requests were never given. Favouritism is more than obvious and no one cared to make it so that everyone was treated fairly.

A typical day at work would be helping customer with your retail skills such as making sure if they are doing okay or need any assistance and meeting those needs. I learned in Puma you have to be very courteous and give sincere genuine greetings rather than putting on a fake smile. The most enjoyable part of this job was meeting my co workers who were all so different from one another and made it a great experience while it lasted
