Pumps and Pressure is an alright place to work as it is extremely laid back most of the time. Unfortunately it is so relaxed that long term employees can show up late to work everyday and management refuses to reprimand them for fear they'll quit.  But if you do this as an employee with less than a few years under your belt, you'll be publicly scolded.  There is much to learn here, specifically, what a company with so much potential looks like when management is almost nonexistent. Pay raises are also nonexistent because management prioritizes bonuses over rewarding employees. The lack of pay increases coupled with the lack of direction make Pumps and Pressure a great place to work short term but you'll soon realize there's much more opportunity and compensation elsewhere.  Additionally, management has created multiple profiles for this company on Indeed in weak attempt to avoid the low reviews.  Unsurprisingly however, previous employees are smarter than management thinks and continue to find every new profile that pops up to maintain their low ratings.

If you end up on ownership's bad side, start looking for a new job, because you are totally screwed. The store manager tries very hard but at the head office, is stopped at every turn. Be prepared to work with people who are rude to you (and customers), inappropriateness at many turns, and have no inventory to sell. They try to skirt around stat pay as often as they can and safety is optional (unless its cost effective). 

Not everyone is bad there, but the ones who are have the power to make your life miserable.

I would not recommend working here to anyone. The company will rip you off every chance they get. They take advantage of younger workers who don’t fully understand their rights. Management is very disorganized. Nobody ever gets a raise and it’s next to impossible to get a promotion due to it being a “family business”. My experience here has been very stressful. 

Fast paced, especially in the morning.  Older, outdated equipment, tight in very small warehouse.  No real bad weather gear for forklift.  Lots of demands from management, inside and outside sales for shipping and receiving their orders.  Weekly transfers a pain.  No real support from management except for basics.  Hardest part is management, best part is the staff you work with.

I was a assembler, then moved into service. I learnt how to build and install heaters/boilers,pressure systems, water pump repairs(cat, hotsy, hawk etc) . The management there is great, as well the co-workers were informative and helpful. Most enjoyable is the assembly of the parts that go into steam trucks.

Zero over time . Pack up middle of job and leave before they will pay you overtime. Expect you to supply every single tool like a mechanic but with very low pay. Management doesn't care what you have to say and in Their eyes their equipment is perfect .

A large company, but family run. All about who you know, management loves to finger point and throw subordinates under the bus to save their own skin or even just to look better. Toxic work environment filled with gossip. Would not recommend.

Hardest part is the fast paced environment and customers that don't want to shut down so you can do the repairs they called you for.

Paperwork, team organization, site visits, client relations. All are done on an almost daily basis. Team oriented but not team active. Knowledgeable staff. 3 decades of experience. Multiple branch locations.

This place has a culture straight out of the 70s. Work hard or they're done with you. It doesn't matter if you show up an hour early every day... if you punch out 1 minute early, you're in trouble. Glad I'm gone. Terrible environment from the top down.
