What a typical day looks like is you come in the front and go to the back of the store where shipment is you sign in to work.Grab a table and your supplies for your demo and find the location of your product, set up table near or close to the product but not in the middle of the aisle way on the front or the back of the aisle. You may need help and ask someone to help you with your table and tell them that your new. If your  product doesn't have information on what to say for the product, look on the product and read whats on the package, to say to the customers when there walking by your table.For example it's peanut-free, no added sugar or flavourings. Also get customers to come to your table to try your product either children, elderly and even teenagers. The management was good, friendly staff and cleaning staff, costco employees helpful,friendly, treated everyone like they want to be treated as, like your next door neighbour. There are a few manager's that are too strict, mean, don't care about the employees personal life, for example if a family member is ill and they need your help before work and you end up being late. Sometimes I had two managers made an example of me because I was late a few times, and made of me in front of the whole staff when it was a staff meeting for PWD. I found that to be not right at all (even if your being joking). Another thing I didn't like was that my previous lady supervisor got me into trouble because I was taking my time in my washroom and had to go to the washroom, because of my monthly mother nature and got me into trouble. The hardest part when be is cleaning up to putting down your table at the end of the day. And sometimes having too much product, that's sometimes not even being used and being throw out at the end of the day which is sad. I just wish that they could give it to the food bank or the staff as a freebie. It's just not right to throw away an unopened product, and people can staving all over the world and we just write it off.  It's sad that you can't even water at your table, when your working and your told to talk to customers. (logic please?) I think it's the most stupid rule ever, and should be changed! Also you get two 15 minute breaks at any time but not after your lunch or before it. My most enjoyable part of my job is talking with customers and having a conversation one on one and connecting with the public. Last but not least sometimes for the holiday's or special events in the staff lounge, you get to have cake or a lunch provided by the company, which is a treat! Overall the place is great to work at, it's fun, friendly co-workers and staff  and a experience because you get to learn to cook, which is a life skill!

I love my work because I do the customer service which I can recognized the needs and wants of the customers,being patience to them is very more advantageous and important so that you can sell your product in good ways and by telling them the truth features of it.
Manager is a Manager, we should follow what are their rules.. 
One thing that I like is I am very close to my co-workers, there is always a team, we work together and smoothly..
The hardest part of the job is very far from the place where I lives, it takes me to travel 2 hours because I took the bus and LRT transportation. 
The most enjoyable part of the job is when you know that you sold out your product because it means you convinced the customers with your good sales talk..and talking with them which it came from your heart and always put smile on our face..

The job in a nutshell is easy to do and doesn't require a lot of skills or experience. However, the job doesn't ever give out pay increases and hours per week are random. The fixed hours are nice but, being 11-7pm on a weekday, you end up feeling like you lost your whole day. You stand in one place for 7.5H a day on concrete (8hour shift with half hour unpaid break). The only complaints you hear are Costco finding little things to complain about and our manager doing the same. I do diligent work but if your papers are angled in a slightly off direction, you'll hear about it. It takes 800 hours of work for a $0.25 pay increase. That's 22 weeks by the way. Roughly 5-8 months depending the number of hours you work per week.

Typical day consisted of setting up work stations then preparing foods. 
I learned different ways to cook foods, different food combinations, how to operate various appliances. 
The management could have been better but it is understandable given the environment we were in and the demands put on them.
I had excellent co-workers who became friends after only a short while. They were very interesting people with many good qualities.
The hardest part of the job was getting set up in the morning in time and making sure you could keep up with demand, whether it be a fast or slow day.
The most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with all the people that came in throughout the day.

My day at the head office was busy as we all wore many different hats throughout the day.  Management was fair and approachable and always there to listen and advise.  I learned a great deal about all facets of employee relations and payroll.  A typical day for me would be from 9-5pm with a great work/life balance mentality.  My supervisor was fantastic and was always available to assist or answer questions.  The culture was loyal and committed.  A great group of people to work with each day.

Some managers aren't 100% professional but they do take much effort to show good service to customers.
You are rarely allowed to leave your station if you need to go to the washroom make it quick. It's a long time to be standing and only have 1 half hour break in 8+ hours a day, many end up with back problems.

This company was bought over by an American. I only worked there for two months before the buyout. I wasn't a fan of the job. I'd have to stand for 8 hours and repeat the same lines and deal with the same people coming back for multiple samples. The customers stand over you waiting for a two bite piece of sausage to cool down enough to serve. I just overall I did not like working there.

Your feet will get hurt for standing for hours. If you're lucky you will get good and easy going assistant managers.

Cons: Bad management, 8 hours of standing, no benefits, dumb & annoying customers. Costco will hate you.

Pros: Good co-workers. Good hours.

Setting up and meeting with product clients in order to set up demonstrations to procure the highest sales possible. Teaching young employees the skills that they need in order to boost their sales experience that they can use in the future. Excellent learning experience for sales in a fast paced, high traffic environment.

i loved working here, is just a shame its not in business anymore.
first when you came to work you have to set up your work station and make sure it clean and all signs are visable. since you will be handling food, you have to follow guide lines to the t. 
cooking temperatures have to be exactly on the dot!!
