What is the best part of working at the company?
I loved working for pace kids and the only reason I left was because I had a car accident and could physically not do the job anymore. Management was so understanding when you needed time off for health, whether mental or physical and the teachers are all amazing. It was such a fun, challenging but rewarding place to work and I will truly miss it. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Because pace kids deals with all kinds of disabilities  including physical and developmental at all different levels the job could be challenging at times. Some of the behaviors could be difficult to work with which made it very stressful. However in the end it was always rewarding getting to help the children reach their ipp goals. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Staff and management were very friendly. If there were problems you could always talk to management and/or HR and they would work with you to find the best solution.

CDA/TA position in the classroom was great connecting with the kiddos and assisting Educators, and other professionals with individual programming, helping children reach and achieve their developmental goals through fun and games, play therapy, music, singing and crafts with great weekly fun themes. A positive work culture where everyone is warmly welcomed and received. The difficulties in this position were adjusting to changes when we transition to online, due to the C-19 and the funding cuts. Most enjoyable part is seeing the families joy with their child’s achievements.

Pacekids is a good place to work because the agency really cares about children with special needs. A group of professionals such as Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapists and Behavioral Strategists work together with the Educational Assistants to provide the best support possible to children and families. The hardest part of the job is that staff must drive children from their homes to the agency every single day which makes it very stressful. On top of that Pacekids does not offer a good benefit plan.

The workplace culture is toxic and fake.
Management puts on fake smiles and has empty promises. There is no good communication and when asked a question they often don't know how to help you.
There is gossip and favoritism and if you don't share their left wing views, you are an outsider and will never enterctheir click.
I think it is sad that people who are supposed to be adults that take care of special needs children, are this immature.
The benefits are a joke and you don't get enough hours and the pay is very low. This all combined makes it very hard to get by this day and age.
I am not surprised this company has a high turnover.

I've had the pleasure of working with Pacekids for almost 6 years, and it is a wonderful organization with a strong, collaborative culture. It is a family first environment, focused on continuous improvement and empowering all stakeholders -- families, staff, and of course the children. Pacekids always looks for opportunities to live and reinforce their agency values, takes the input of staff and truly appreciates the impact every staff member makes.

Working at Pacekids is a very tough and life-draining time. The students and parents are the best part of the job, along with most aides. There is a lot of gossiping, cliques, under-qualified management, poor benefits and pay, no communication through departments ans from higher ups, and high staff turn-over. Wouldn't recommend. 

The staff at Pacekids are amazing! It’s a wonderfully collaborative environment. Kiddos are challenging but awesome. 
Only negative is that there’s not enough direct information distribution. Things are often communicated third hand and are often well after the fact.

Working in their schools and home program is a joke! There is a lot of gossiping in the classroom and the ladies are not really qualified or professionals in the matter. Feel bad for the kids going to pacekids schools. In my opinion Providence is a way better choice for any parent or prospect employee reading this. Poor payment and management in the south school is horrible!

I love working at Pacekids. The staff and management have created a welcoming and collaborative working environment. There are continuous opportunities for learning and working with other team members on outcomes. All staff are respected and given the opportunity to be part of solutions. Days can be fast paced depending on the time of year. 

Very thorough with educating their staff, holding information sessions, and doing midterm and year end self evaluations. Staff meetings are helpful, reflective and informative giving everyone opportunity to make changes if need be or to encourage one another on the things that have been going well.
