This company is the worst I've ever worked for!!management is horrible you go into the office and gf's and super's are too busy looking at old cars and condos in Arizona than to do their job. Construction manager does nothing but complain about money that he's loosing ,there's never anything positive, always negative, most guys here are sticking it out till Christmas and moving on in the new year. Pay is hit and miss and when you do get paid it is usually wrong. Flights are horrible (sometimes you don't get a flight until the day you fly) and camps are another story, you may stand inline to get a room in one camp only to be told that your in another camp.My recommendations are to not waste your time coming to work for this company.

The morning was used to manage emails, I had between 200-500 emails daily.

In the afternoon, I would review and implement schedule changes requested by the Superintendants and make sure flights and camps where modified accordingly. 

When this was done, I would continue booking flights and camp accomodation in advance.

While managing emails, I would process any paperwork necessary for the site.

- Earning Canadian work experience in friendly environment and expert team
- A typical day of work was including schedule and control in piping and mechanical project over $40M construction budget, develop of the project schedules, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification and applied work breakdown structure requirements with using Primavera.
- Report daily of site activities and issues to client.
- The hardest part of the job was working in temperature of -40c 
- The most enjoyable part of the job was earning result

Coordinating construction and turnover with clients representatives was the highlight of this job. My team completed 3 systems (TCCC, C&SU) at a major oilsands plant in the Fort McMurray region with over 500,000MH and zero incidents. A fantastic feat especially considering some of the high risk tasks which were completed.

I believe Pacer Promec Energy Corp. had potential to succeed, unfortunately it went bankrupt.  This may have been avoided if the company had more competent leaders starting from the top.
My experience at Pacer was enjoyable, as the there was a camaraderie in our team.  The hardest part at Pacer Promec Energy Corp. was receiving the news of bankruptcy and the uncertainty of receiving our retention bonus.  The company had no transparency with it's employees.

This was a company that ceased operations after I had worked there for five months. The work day was well paced.  I learned much about oil site job conditions.  Management backed up staff on some serious issues such as non-receipt of pay.  It was a cold environment but proper clothing helped make the job get done.

It pays well, but I sometimes feel unappreciated doing what I do, and  I do not feel like I am getting ahead working there. All my accommodations and flights are paid, but it's always a hassle getting my flights and rooms. In the end, however, I am only there to make money, which I do.

Most days were challenging, although most employees were their helping eachother offering any and all knowledge they could to get any jobs done.

PPEC was one fun place to work at. We finished our project on CNRL site and moved to different location on CNRL site. Got a group lay off from PPEC since project was going to end soon.

It was a good company to work for in order to gain the experience needed to become the best Pipefitter/Steamfitter possible giving the jobs that we had.
