The fish industry is always changing and I was not familiar with this industry. Existing long term employees were patient and supportive as I learnt the industry. I was part of the accounting management until June 2019. I only left because I moved out of town. It was difficult to leave a company where I was respected and treated very well. For people that are knowledgeable enough to be flexible this is a great place to learn new skills, different methods and how to work in a team environment. The ownership respects work life balance however during the busy seasons a little bit of extra effort can be required.
I would highly recommend seeking employment at Pacific Salmon Industries.

I’d honestly be surprised if this place is around in 5 years. Worked there 13 months and was promised a raised at 3 months and 12 months and received neither. Also the owner is so cheap you only get benefits after five THOUSAND hours and then there so pathetic they don’t even cover 50% of dental.
The racking in the freezer is.. criminal to be honest. Eventually it will crash and someone will be killed. 
If you work hard you will not be rewarded and they know people will quit and they accept a revolving door system.

This company is terrible to its employee's no loyalty to hard working employee's.  People are treated like a number and not a person.  Don't expect to get a a raise if you keep your head down and mouth shut you will do fine. Management in the accounting office are not nice people.  I would not recommend this company in any job aspect.  WCB should shut them down.   Production workers get hurt daily.  Its dirty and smelly of foul fish.

It’s run by a person who’s incredibly greedy. He lives a high lifestyle while his employees live in poverty. I’ve yet to meet anyone who enjoyed working there. You will get no raises, you will work in a building that’s quite literally falling apart, you will get no benefits, and absolutely no opportunity to advance. The best thing you can do is avoid this place at all costs.  

I enjoyed my time wit this company, but when work was short we were on call and it was not getting stable enough for me.work experience only became better working with the cold storage  department and was able to add that to my resume and be glad for it.

I had to work with fish and machines, the people had to work hard and faster it was stressful. I don’t recommend teens To work at this job because it is hard and it’s something they wouldn’t be able to handle. However, it is a great job if you love working with fish and you don’t mind standing for hrs.

The supervisors are racist and exploit teens. They address as if they own and even fire employees at the spot. I would not recommend to anyone and i believe if they don’t oversee those racist supervisors...they will expect a lot of lawsuits.

I enjoyed the constant changes and adaptions required of the seafood industry.
I learned a lot about seafood and processing from the long-term knowledgeable co-workers.

I had a chance to improve my personality and learnt how to deal with customers.I really like my coworkers and owner. Job atmosphere was busy.

Nice people, Management are awesome, they can see your hardwork, 

Pros - training advancement, yearly barbeque and christmas party.
 
Cons - yearly lay off
