I felt like I was accepted and welcomed at packers. The crew was close, friendly and lively for the most part. Looking back this was probably one of the best jobs I've had. Do your part here and you will be recognized for it. The work was dynamic, I got to do a lot of different tasks throughout the day, and it was never too repetitive. The management was friendly, transparent and understanding. They really care about safety here and it really changed my perspective on it ;now I admire when a company proritizes safety. When the oil industry is/was up there was lots of overtime opportunity and it was never pushed on you, instead encouraged. The other side of that coin is when work is scarce, the atmosphere becomes downing and depressing with lay offs looming. Overall great place to work and I wouldn't hesitate to get back on with them.

Packers Plus was a friendly and comfortable workplace. They encouraged learning and improving your skills and always tried to take care of their employees.

They emphasized getting the job done right the first, which in my department meant series of checking and approving of documents. This ensured the publishing of quality and accurate materials.

The most difficult part of the job was reaching out and trying new things to expand my skills and responsibilities. But I realize this was important for growth.

Some aspects of the job required fast-paced projects to be completed in a short time-frame.

Every day at work presents a new challenge. Learning at Packers Plus is a contnuous process. We encounter new problems either with the coding system or daily operations which requires proactiveness. We have an efficient management system which samples opinion of employees and collaborative co-workers. The most enjoyable part of the job is when all daily operation demands  are met on time and the hardest of it all is when operations need to be carried out but the systems is technically faulted leading to downtime.

no security or employee loyalty, they try to compete with the oil market as a big player. But they are no match for the larger companies.

Stay away from them unless you have no other job offer and Do Not Expect any Employee recognition for hard work and loyalty. They are a Mom and Pop Operation and act like it and not boost on the Richness and Wealth of their company the 3 owners have.

Disgusting from an Employees point of view , as they were nothing but an employee at one time also!!!!!

It is a great place to make money. Managers and supervisors are lack of experience. If your goal is to climb the lather than you'll be very disappointed. It doesn't matter if you work hard or not, what matter is you know how to suck up to your boss. Their $1000/month bonus is great, but don't get caught into it; at the interview, they will tell you that everyone get the bonus, but it's not true, so don't base your salary on it.

Overall is a good place to work and to make money if you're not planning to move up the lather.

A typical day at work involved readying parts for conveyors on an assembly line. I learned plenty working here from my supervisor and leads as they are all willing help. Hardest part of the job would be to keep up with the robot if you were running multiple stations as well as managing robot faults. The most enjoyable part of the job was having a great crew to work with.

Learned the different completion techniques that Packers Plus has been developed and are currently implemented in many wells. Responsible of verifying Frack Summary reports. Job shadowing with the engineers within the sales team in order to learn and to understand the different duties that each of them carried every day (Torque and drag analysis, Pressure Drop Analysis, Non Conformance Report, Engineering Request, etc.).

The pay is good, but nepotism, the lack of training and opportunities for advancement aren't. Managers don't seem all that clear on what they're doing or what's going on with their departments and don't really think about the implications poor decision-making or behaviors would have on their business or their staff. Based on my personal experience, I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

This is a company that has experienced fast growth pains. They have recognized this and have been very proactive in developing plans and procedures to help create the team atmosphere. They encourage the employees to submit any ideas for operational excellence.

The time i spent with Packers Plus was the most exciting & rewarding of my professional career. They always gave me the knowledge & support i needed to succeed. My employment ended when the price of oil crashed & they could no longer stay open in Estevan. I have zero complaints with the company as a whole or she people i worked with!
