This was a great experience and it allowed me to utilize my cleaning skills, as well as manage my team and the tasks given.  I consistenly had excellent support from upper management.  I was diligent to document records and reports, including deviations, while ensuring all requirements and regulations are met. This made daily operations run smoothly.

I thoroughly enjoyed my responsibilities as a housekeeping Supervisor.

i was hired to manage a failing poker room.  To the point that the games managers no longer wanted to deal with the headache of it all.  The pay was unacceptable as the direct staff were paid only $.50 less than I.  This revelation highlighted the general lack of faith the company had.
I was afforded unilateral decisions in the poker room with no oversight.  When i turned the poker room into a money maker, a decision to change a price point on a weekly poker tournament resulted in my being let go.
Management in Casinos is plagued with people who have worked up from a dealer to a games manager.

A full day working as a team with several departments from Gaming, Food and Beverage to Security/Surveillance as well as Administration. With the aim of providing a Best of Class experience for our customers. Having to deal with unruly people on occasion was easily over shadowed by offering most customers a memorable experience. Working together as a team to attain personal and team objectives was the most satisfying aspect.

Unfortunately my employment with this company ended much sooner than I had planned. Many of us were laid off due to lack of hours because of renovations to the casino. I enjoyed my time with this company and would return in a heart beat if asked back again.

Palace is a reasonable place to work but don't expect to make more than the industry minimum and also be aware you'll be a union member with all that this entails. The local staff and management are great but the ownership doesn't care much about its staff; they are focused on profit first and foremost.

Hardest part of job was having rude customers to deal with.
Most enjoyable part of job was helping others and seeing my co workers and also seeing the regular people and new ones as well.

it has been some time since i worked at the casino, and infortunately started my employment during a strile. Found it very stressful both physically and mentally.

Working security at this casino was a joke; management didn't care about malfunctioning radios, pay raises never came, safety concerns were ignored, just basically if you work security here be prepared to put up with more BS than anyone should have to.

Wash washrooms, empty garbage and clean windows. Maintenance was a easy job that I've ever had didn't do much a lay back job. Watched costumers win big on slot machines and lose big on slots.

Being a slot superviser to my co-workers that have been there for years was hard at first but then it turned out to be one of the best jobs that i have done.
