First of all, let me just say that working at Pandora involves that you're working mostly with other girls, not necessarily adults. A lot of drama happens. A LOT. Especially because we're all girls, a lot of fake, backstabbing dtuff happens. People will be nice to you and then they'll tell management that you've been complaining all the time.

Second of all, you make one mistake in your receipt sheet before it even passes the cash and you get a warning. Mistakes happen all the time, some clients buy over 10 charms and you have to write ALL THE CODES DOWN by HAND, and every code is a 10+ character long combination of letters and numbers. Pandora has over 1000 products. You write n instead of m or 1 instead of 2, you get a warning. By getting a warning, you don't get your monthly bonus which is about 150$ if you're part-time. 

It's minimum salary. Don't think because it's a jewelry store that you'll get paid more because no. No comission, team bonus. 

Extremely severe on loss prevention. They'll follow you everywhere to make sure you're not stealing, they even empty our boots and check our wallets.

Clients are very picky. You have to welcome them and always be with them even if they say they don't want help (which is extremely annoying). 

every sale you make has to be above 130$+ or else someone'll tell you you're not doing a good job. They're very severe on your sales numbers amd they give out hours to work based on that, also cut shifts based on that. You always have to push the client even if it's obvious they only want to buy for 40$. It sucks.

Retail store and office operations while working as part of a team

Purchased and received stock; verified product quality and quantity, ensured accuracy in billing, and performed related data entry tasks with speed and accuracy.

Conducted inventory count on a regular basis to ensure consistency in company records and physical stock, minimize out of stocks and maintain adequate inventory levels

Prepared invoices and coordinated product distribution to various retail stores; liaised with retail suppliers to organize deliveries, packing requirements, logistical requirements, styles and replenishment of stock; followed up with suppliers on delivery problems, and back orders

Promoted product sales and delivered excellent customer service while working at the Hudson Bay and Upper Canada Mall; used sound product knowledge, a good sense of fashion and excellent communication skills to sell and up sell products to customers

Protected company interests by completing all tasks in a thorough and timely manner in accordance with company policies, and handling confidential and sensitive matters with prudence

Most of my tasks were liaised with the operations manger.

Enjoyed working in the stores teaching staff how to up-sell items.

When I started, it was amazing. I honestly love this job, I loved getting help people find their jewelry and get gifts for loved ones. 
This job is very competitive as everyone makes commission (besides managers). Which makes it difficult to work with some people as they will fight you for customers.
Recently, after being with the company for a few months, my management started to become toxic and hostile towards me after I called out the new AM being extremely rude to customers, especially a customer I had helped over the phone. I was told that this customer, who spends a lot of money, was treated terribly and I felt disgusted when I heard this because the customer was extremely kind and felt as if it was her fault for the AM being rude to her. 
Not only was this customer mistreated for no fault of her own, I was also being mistreated and belittled on every little thing I did wrong all because I pointed out the new AM being disrespectful for no reason. 
What also really sucks, as an associate you have to reach 25,000 in sales before you can make commission! Which is difficult based on coworkers, location, demographic, stock and more. 
This might’ve been my location specifically, but it still really bothered me and this is just how the atmosphere is. 


As a Sales Associate at Pandora, I had a rewarding experience that deepened my understanding of retail and customer service. Pandora's retail environment emphasizes customer engagement and product knowledge, which allowed me to develop strong interpersonal skills. Every day, I interacted with customers seeking personalized jewelry, helping them select meaningful charms, rings, or bracelets that suited their style or occasion. The company provided extensive training on the products, which helped me confidently address customer inquiries and make personalized recommendations.

The atmosphere in the store was fast-paced, especially during holidays and special promotions, but I enjoyed the challenge of meeting sales goals while maintaining a positive customer experience. Pandora also values teamwork, so collaboration with colleagues was essential to ensuring that customers received timely and helpful assistance.

One downside is that the sales targets can sometimes be intense, especially during slow periods. However, the supportive management team was always available to offer guidance. Overall, working at Pandora was a great opportunity to build customer service and sales skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

A typical day at work is providing customers that one on one bond and providing them knowledge about the product. This job has taught me to be patient and less shy then I used to be. I am more comfortable talking with customers and showing them I am confident in what I am selling them. Management is great, they are there when you need them. They are always boosting you with the confidence and drive to succeed in our daily sales. I love my co-workers we are like one big family. They are fun to work with and i can always count on them being there when help is needed. The hardest part of my job would have to be not getting as much hours as I want. They are always hiring new girls and its getting really difficult to get the hours I  would like. Another thing is dealing with customers that are rude, depending what happens sometimes it hard to keep your cool because of the frustration. But again Management is amazing and always helps us in difficult situations. Most enjoyable part of the job is helping customers find that special product they want from themselves or a gift. Its really rewarding when they see how hard we work and thank us for giving them exceptional customer service we know they deserve.

I had a uniquely horrible experience working with management and Pandora as a company. They fired the store a manager because she didn’t follow their crazy way of dealing with staff and stood up for us, and then brought in a manager who will follow everything they say. The assistant manager was complained about MULTIPLE times, at least 20-30 times by customers and by almost every staff member at some point (at least 6 people left because of her and cited that in their exit interview) and yet because she was an amazing sales person they looked the other way. 
Pay was okay, though as a sales lead you barely made more than a sales associate considering the segments you’re not allowed to sell. The discount was amazing. 
Sales targets were high but not unreasonable. Focus on KPI’s overlooked the fact that some days are just slow. Made it stressful and everyone got a little crazy. 

They moved from a Canada based operation to US, and the Kelowna store didn’t received any stock replenishment for almost 2 months during graduation season. Ran out of everything important and we were given absolutely no information about when it would be up and running.

I love Pandora, I love the company and the values that lay behind it.

At work, I would be in charge of opening the store, closing it, and making sure that inventory was accounted for and that employee's were properly trained.
I made sure that each tray of jewellery was properly stocked and balance for the next day and that all boxes and bags were stocked.

I was apart of the management team, my expectations were very clear as I stuck to them.
I am a strong believer in getting the job done, I think productivity is very important, but also have leisure time and laughing off the day with the team is also healthy and vital for a strong rapport.
Communication is a key factor in this job, and I felt this was the hardest part for management. I think it's the most important quality in the work place and at times I felt lost.
I learned a lot about being a leader and instructing a team, which I plan to take with me in all my future endeavours.

The most enjoyable part were the co-workers. I have met some of the most fantastic individuals at this place.

It was confusing, though after about two or three shifts, I got a hold of some things quickly, but I wasn't perfect. Despite being a seasonal worker, the job was fun, everyone was very kind and nice to me, but I got consistently berated by one full-time worker. 
One time, it was for not knowing where a specific charm was, even though I had checked the stock (which confirmed there was one in stock), all storage, and I even had another associate helping me, as it wasn't busy. This was right in front of the customer, who apologized for the trouble when I cashed them out.
Another time, I was cashing someone out and asked for help with getting everything packaged up. The full-time worker helped as they were already bagging things, and while they did, they suddenly looked incredibly annoyed that I even spoke to them. The customer saw it and asked me directly if I was new. When I answered, the customer said that if I were just starting, they would have told me to quit because I "shouldn't be glared at for asking for help." 

Everyone is catty (including the manager). At the time, they were short on staff (even though I was hired as seasonal) for Polo Park and St Vital location - I had to work both even though I told them I do not have reliable transportation to work both locations since one is wayyyy further than the other. The don’t care about how their workers treat other workers or customers. Colleagues steal customers from you, so they get commission. Everyone talks about every behind their back - including the manager.
I was threatened to be fired if I didn’t come in for my shift - even though I had given over 24 hours notice because I had the stomach flu. So I had to quit because I was sick and being threatened with my job.
Such a terrible place to work, they do not care about their workers - management sucks, and you are not allowed to have any other sort of life outside of Pandora. So do not bother applying if you’d like to stay sane. 

Very friendly staff when working there, would work days, evening, and weekends depending on scheduled shifts. I had the opportunity to learn a lot about jewelry and placing orders for the company for products needed. Management was never consistent, and the owner was never around to help with situations when they should have. Was hard to determine what to do depending on who you were working with as again all management expected totally different things and such to be done in different ways. I enjoy seeing how happy people are leaving the store, and hearing new stories as to why they wanted certain things. This was a very fun environment to work in, just needed a better management expectations. I had the opportunity to learn how to place orders and keep stock up to date to do so.
