Because this industry is small everyone knows each other so the community is rather small and you have to be conscience as to what to divulge or you'll get blacked balled in this industry. Paradigm has a history and I expected most of the employees to be enthusiastic at what they were doing. Turns out very little cared, most were in there for themselves buying product and reselling it for a profit. Others were on the surface pretending to support you and on several occasions just stabbed you in the back, seems a lot of peoples there even though they weren't happy with what they were doing had nothing else protected it blatantly. For 3 years I fended off these vultures who at any given moment would disparage customers on how they used the products often commented on how stupid they were. A very toxic environment to be in. After months of searching I found a similar position with a competitor with more benefits and higher salary. This company should be treated as a stop over from where you really want to be, the name carries weight but but the work experience left a sour taste.
My recommendation, get what you need from this company then get out or you'll be stuck

Firstly, I firmly agree with the low rating and tone of other negative experience reviews written here. "Get in & Get Out" / "Sooner or later, they will throw you under a bus".

Internal feedback sounds like no one is happy. You are hired as a pawn and that's all you should ever invest with the company or management. No one wants to hear what you have to say - just do as you're told or be wise enough to stay in your lane.

The BEST part of being part of the workforce is, many employees have been there for 20+ years.. and they are warm and friendly people. Co-workers are the only joy on the job. If you happen to care about the products - the discount can compensate for the negative stress you will feel.

My advice is - Be warned. Labour jobs are not difficult to execute, but the management and disorganization is infuriating and sloppy/wasteful. Administrative/Customer service positions are undervalued and unsupported. Either fall in line or upper management will ditch you like a defective part. It's strictly business. Be ready to function like a well oiled machine.

Loved this job everything I loved to do was here:
-  process credit card charges
-  post the credit card charges from day before
-  follower up with company that card did not go through
-  approve orders and send to shipping
-  collection calls on any accounts that orders could not go through
-  prepare Canadian deposit  and post deposit daily
-  post US deposit to proper accounts
-  correct billing issues by issuing credit or re-bills
-  post wire payments to correct GL account
-  Aging - call dealer and speak to regarding any past due invoices, try and work out a payment option if dealer was having issues,  send out collection letters,  hound the dealer in a nice way to get them to make payment of some sort
-  write off bad debt to proper GL Account
-  Process any writeoffs where marketing or reps made any deals with dealers
-  Did credit check on new dealers if ok gave to manager to set the credit limit
-  was in charge if manager was out
-

typical day:
1. review product development status and keep it on schedule
2. supplier evaluation and status check on cost and replacement
3. review on new information such as new tech, new development on the industry or new trend
4. new product idea generation and analysis
5. test the new product

learned:
This is my first time with hands-on experience on a branding company. I learned how to operate a brand.

management:
The decision making was slow comparing to IT/PC business. Most of the management team members have no financial background and quality improvement experience in detail. 

co-worker 
The co-workers there are all very nice. Some of them are still my friends after I left for 5 years.

Hardest part:
To cut down 150+ suppliers to 50 base on poor evaluation data left to me is the most hardest task for me at the time.

Enjoyable:
When my boss agreed with me on my research on painting material improvement.

Customer service has terrible management and poor structure, I feel bad for the customers who fall victim. Employees come and go and are given little to no training with very high expectations from a manager that knows nothing about the products or anything technical. 

When I joined the department had very little organization and was always swamped. After years of working and designing a system that works and actually helps customers, I was promised more opportunities and pay only to find out it was all a plan to get rid of me. 

There are some great staff there but I am sure they will all agree they feel like they are watched heavily and walking on egg shells every day. 

Save yourself time and headache. Trust me this company is not worthed unless you have no other alternatives. Sooner or later they will backstab you. 

Management :
No transparencies or real processes, micromanagement is a real issue here.
This place has no appreciation of hard work or dedication (exception maybe 1 or 2 in the upper mgmt). They will throw you under the bus in no time.

Employees:
Most of the employees are fine peoples, very friendly and kinds, they deserve better than this mgmt.

Benefits:
No RRSP and health benefit is limited and expensive.

I worked at the start of the line. Work started at 7AM and ended at about 3:30PM. The employees were ok but the management was absolutely terrible. Management refused to discipline a lazy employee and instead made me help him to keep up with work, I was constantly blamed for issues that were caused by a different department and finally HR does absolutely nothing. I was terminated after getting upset and complaining, however the company lied on my report claiming it was a work shortage.

Do not work here if not desperate 

No matter your degree, your experience, they treat you like dirt. They are all set in their ways, resistant to change and new ideas. The supervisors and managers are hostile. They don't want to try anything you. You can't bring your idea for improvements. They'll crush your spirit. Can't trust anyone here.  

There were a number of things I like best about this job. I enjoy the level of open and direct communication. It was always about solving the business problems. Another thing I like is my ability to learn new things and take on more responsibility.  I enjoy working with people to overcome the sometimes daunting tasks.

Work starts early and leaves late. You manage your own work.  People are friendly.  Responsibilities of the job changes frequently.  Enjoyable part of the job are the monthly lunches.
