I am writing to express several concerns that impact both workplace equity and operational efficiency.

Firstly, there is a perceived disparity in benefits between office and field staff, particularly concerning lunch provisions. This has led to a sense of inequity among field staff members.

Secondly, recent promotional decisions have raised questions about fairness and transparency. Specifically, the promotion of an individual following multiple visits to the office, each resulting in personal benefit, has caused unease among team members. The incidents include the funding of a Class One certification, a significant raise accompanied by a company vehicle, and now the individual's promotion to supervisor after a colleague's termination.

Lastly, our operational efficiency is being hampered by equipment issues. The shop's inability to provide adequate service, inspections, and repairs results in frequent equipment breakdowns on-site. This leads to contract losses and increased logistical challenges, as equipment must be repeatedly transported back and forth until the job is completed.

I believe addressing these issues is crucial for maintaining morale, ensuring fairness, and improving our overall operational effectiveness.

I have been here for months now at the Head Office in Acheson. I have a lot of positive things to say about Paradox. They celebrate and reward hard work, years with the company, goal achievements.  I think they are hitting their stride in terms of creating an improved and good culture. I would recommend career opportunities with them to my own friends/family. They trim the fat and don't allow any coat tail riders. If my review helps attract other talent and good people that I get to work alongside with and grow my own career within the business then I hope this review speaks to those with talent and work ethic.

I had a pleasure to work for Paradox Access Solutions in 2019 as a digital marketing specialist. Our marketing team had everything it takes to make a strong brand presence. With a lot of brainstorming power and many bright people involved, I was given enough freedom to apply different marketing and advertizing techniques. I think Paradox is a friendly and innovative employer that provides enough support to each employee, making each work task a positive challenge rather than a complex problem.

I would love to tell you to work here but I just can’t. They preach the “family” atmosphere but it truly doesn’t matter how hard you work or how much of your life you give to this company you are unfortunately just a number to them and disposable. Great company when you start but once they get to know you they take advantage of your weaknesses. If you don’t value yourself or your time this is a great place to work. Otherwise stay far away and keep your mental health in check.

Inexperienced supervisor. Limited knowledge, didn't seem to be able to read blue prints. Brought them to me to decipher more than once.  Very little emphasis on safety. No hard hats on anyone, safety glasses seemed to be optional. Haul trucks running flat out in congested area's, I suggested slowing them down but was ignored. Cell phone use, texting and calls while driving and operating was rampant, again reported to supervision and witnessed by supervision and nothing was done about it. Many other safety violations issues but supervision ignored it and took part in it. 

experience driving equipment for final grade on site and also Using a Topcon Laser Level to Survey Elevation to build road on site and. Align and position pipes culverts to drain water. Highly intensive labour work doing road construction for the Oil sands which include loading and unloading tools/equipment, Laying out neoweb and webbing, Pounding spikes, working with equipment operators and various other duties during the course of the projects

Paradox seemed to be a descent place to work , but I really didn't get the chance to find out more about the company because they lied about how much actual work there was to be done. I was told that a job was  suppose to last for several months, but ounce I was out in camp in the middle of nowhere I found that there was only a couple weeks left. They lied to get workers to go do the job so they could finish early so upper management could get there bonus money and leave the rest  out of work just before Christmas.

Great place to work if you enjoy being lied to constantly. Operations an construction managers across every division do nothing but lie. Promise shared work and cross training only to watch people leave and let people go due to no work. They sit around and watch movies all day while few people work to keep the place in order. Cut hours cut costs cut corners all in the name of haven nice stuff for office people. Ya’ll be good poker players with your lying straight faces. Only if owners seen it 

Most of the site foreman and superintendents were not very helpful to the ground crew as their days mostly consisted of either hiding in their trucks sleeping or watching movies on their laptops.

 Not very knowledgeable on earthworks even though they call them selves a earthworks company. Supervisors and Foreman on the earthworks side are glorified labor foremans at best!

Found most site supervisors to be inexperienced.

Great company who cares about their people! The culture and job fulfillment are very good. A job well done is always recognized - you certainly feel part of a true team working at Paradox. The work/life balance recognized by Paradox is very rare in today's working world, they still appreciate your family life and are advocates for it. The work is challenging yet very rewarding. Overall, I would recommend working for Paradox!
