There is SO much to benefit from this amazing program. You will make friends and learn things other people usually have to learn themselves over time. Yes the classes are about a school day’s length but they are never boring. You do a lot of reading and watching videos together, and finding out what your strengths and weaknesses are, while learning ways to better yourself. What I loved most was how friendly everyone is to one another, they’re just super encouraging. Not just the attendees but the staff as well. The certificates are a bonus! You have to WANT to work and actively look for work while you’re in this program. Do not skip any days unless there’s a good reason. Don’t be lazy! If you don’t want to work then don’t waste their time. Everyone only wants to help you. If you struggle with finding work because of disability, learning challenges, lack of qualifications, and other examples they have listed on their advertisements, then this is the opportunity for you! These guys really helped me, and I’m a firm believer they will help you too. Best choice of my life. You will not regret it!

Pathfinder's is a government funded program that helps young adults with anxiety, depression, drug abuse, etc. and prepares them for getting their first job or to get job experience. It has helped me break out of my comfort zone and make me do things I wouldn't have otherwise. It has helped me grow not only as a person, but helped me achieve personal goals that I could not otherwise. For me, the hardest part was stepping out of my comfort zone. With my anxiety that has prevented me from doing a lot of things, the first week was terrifying. But after everybody got to know each other, everybody was friendly and accepting of each other's individuality. We learned skills to take into the workplace, how to dress and act for interviews, created resumes, cover letters and references and also learned how we can further our skills and abilities.

I loved working with everybody at Pathfinder, staff and students all included. I was greeted with a warm welcome, and left feeling very appreciated for the work I had put forth in my time there. The values of Pathfinder were on par with my own, and it was very exciting to be able to help youth along on their journey to employment.

A typical day involved checking in with clients and meeting up with them one-to-one for support (someone to listen to, help navigating daily life, attending doctor's appointments, applying for jobs, working towards personal goals, etc.,).  Work atmosphere included strong team building, genuine staff, and flexible work hours. 

Pathfinder helps young people gain work experience and pays them to be in a classroom environment. It's a tremendous environment and it changed my life drastically when I needed a hand. They provide resume training and interview skills as well as a ton of material on how to deal with the curveballs life tends to throw.

I love how they get you ready for the work force. we get certifications and job prep stuff, so for the certifications we get Food Safe Level 1 (2019), WHMIS (2019) ,Occupational First Aid Level 1 (2019)

i loved working in pathfinders, they have helped me gain work experience and certificates for a job. i learned a lot of things i didn't know about having a job and having experience. there was nothing really hard of the job, mostly everything was good and fun learning everything

Pathfinder is probably the best job I found that helps u get into another job and u basically get paid to go to school and learn 7 certificates : Serve it right, first aid, food safe, barista/cafe, cash handling, WHMIS, World Host

A typical day at work is relaxed and professional. The participants work hard every day to ensure that we are on time, caught up and focused. The best place to work by far!

They are very helpful.If you have are having a bad day or you need to talk they are there for you. they are willing to help with anything you need. they wants whats best for you.
