The good; the pay and benefits  were better than others in the industry for the geographical area. Moral in the company was quite low and there was always one department trying to throw the other under the bus. Sales vs. service vs. parts. The big company mentality seems to be all about numbers and many times decisions were made not in favor of their customer. You’d hear management or sales staff laughing about it. There is a large turnover rate and it was alarming to see many 20+ yr veterans quit or get let go for whatever reason. There were a lot of unhappy employees. It was also unethical when a the new general manager was hired to see not one but three of his children all working in management positions within a year. The same positions that others were told were not needed and let go, all of a sudden were reinstated.  Management will straight out lie to the employees and the  techs are ultimately not valued. It was not a stable work environment so in the end the pay may be better in order to make up for the unhappiness you may experience working there. 

This was the oddest place to work, almost kafkaesque management and work environment. 
 
Many of the other technicians I worked with were very unhappy and seemed to loath working there, although I didn’t find it to be a terrible place to work. There was obviously history there I wasn’t aware of.

The weirdest part of this place was how there seemed to essentially be no management or oversight of anything. To the point that I felt I could have done literally anything I wanted with no consequences or even an awareness on any part of the company management. This was initially amusing but proved frustrating.

The service manager was a kindly gentleman but seemed quit detached from the goings on while the two service foreman appeared to be much overwhelmed by their responsibilities; having no time for me or anyone else. 

Untimely I left because the work was not what was described in the interview or job description, very tedious and physically demanding. 

All the other service techs and the service manager were good to work with. 


Maple Farm Equipment is a great company to work for. I was hired as a translator and since my very first day, everybody was very helpful and nice. I got familiarized with agricultural terminology as well as the equipment used in rural Saskatchewan. A typical day includes providing some translating services between managers and Hispanic staff as well as doing some administrative duties. The hardest part was understanding the harvesting process. What I really like about this job was the great sense of humour of the staff.

Working there is quite and a bit stressful. But you will learn a lot if you wanted too.
Management is good
The workplace is friendly and lot of nice people .
Harrdest part is less journeyman and experience technician to guide new technician. Just enjoy the company for a lot of those years been there.

a typical day at work is being watched to see if you make an mistake, when I apply for a job if the people are not smiling turn around and walk out, and the management is not nice people have serious issues..the hardest part of the job is waiting to see what you have done wrong and the most enjoyable part is walking out the door. Unless you are a butt-kisser don't bother

I live working for Pattison. All the truck drivers semis and pilot drivers are amazing to work with and will answer any question you may have. The trucking department is a very fast pace work environment, but everyone is friendly and if you get stuck or have questions or don’t know what you’re doing you can ask anybody and they will answer.

I started as a tech then foreman, lead hand, service manager, ended up an equipment inspector which is the best job in the company to my mind. I had great managers , I worked with all departments and with everyone from tech to Vice President. 

I had a Great time working for this Company; They treated me With Respect and Dignity, They Provide Tons of Oppurtunity to advance in Job Classifaction as well as Pay.  You must have a License before Applying.

The new shops are great, support from John Deere corporate is good, and ownership group is good. It's a fun environment to work in. However, there is a big old boys club at the top, and there is not a lot of strong leadership at that level.
