Well organized working environment, system is great, breaks on time, devided properly every 2 hours, salary on time every Friday, amazingly pleasant grocery supermarket Save on Foods

I never know will i get 5 hours a week or 30-40

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Punch in time 1-2 mins before, starting my cashier duty, i like im not pushed to clean the floor of entire supermarket after my shift like i used to before working for restaurant and cafe in uae.
Having my two 15 mins break, enjoying fruits that always available complimentary for the staff in the kitchen(so much grateful). If shift is 8 hours I am having one 30 mins break as well as a lunch time. Doing a cashier job is a pleasure for me, seeing many grateful shoppers faces, present stickers to little ones is so much pleasure, as well as have possibility to ask for donations to BCCH, help families who in need to turn the lights on. I am ending my shift, punching out and going home,fulfilled & happy.

I had an extremely disappointing experience working at Pattison Food Group. The company’s management style is heavily focused on micromanagement, which creates a stifling and stressful work environment. Team members are constantly scrutinized, leaving no room for creativity or independent thinking. This excessive oversight hampers productivity and morale, making it difficult to feel valued or trusted as an employee.

Additionally, the workload is continuously increasing without consideration for the well-being of the employees. Management seems to be more interested in piling on tasks than supporting their team. Breaks are monitored obsessively, and if someone is even five minutes late, you can expect to hear about it in a one-on-one meeting. This level of micromanagement and lack of flexibility makes for an extremely negative work atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a workplace that fosters growth, innovation, and a positive atmosphere, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Opportunity is unlimited depending on the individual if a person wants to advance , if you want to stand around and do nothing that’s what they’ll pay you next to nothing people have to eat and both the employer and the union know that

When your working with the general public organization is key to meet the needs of the consumer that comes everyday partly for what you have to offer and for the social aspect

It’s what the individual makes of it you don’t need 4 years at Harvard to sell food but a positive attitude and basic skills go a long way again organizational skills are very valuable 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It can be whatever you want it to be , very fast paced and before you know it over and on to the next one

Depending on the department, you will find a wide range in the work environment.  From micro managers to leaders that excel in boosting their team.  Executive are constantly changing roles making communication poor and creating unstable roles.  Alright place to work but there is clear favoritism and nepotism.  Salary is industry mid range for a lot of positions. Perks include company wide events, peer to peer recognition (that is sometimes suspect that a manager or executive had a hand in it) and service recognition. If you are looking for work life balance especially if you have kids, this is an alright gig.

Majority of the people are good to work with.  Benefits were really good.

The amount of time to load before delivering can be stressful when the groceries are not ready for delivery

Overall I would say very good.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stays busy throughout the day.  Usually 21 deliveries which would put you at max.  The parking was stressful

Due to overstaffed office, there is nothing to do. People just pretend they are busy. Not productive environment, people don't want to change,  optimize and advance procedures to achieve efficiency. Poor not knowledgeble Management gets promotion. However, they earned just because they were sitting there and doing nothing for 20 or 30 years. Boring days, stupid tasks, like manually changing the names of items 🙄 moving comas and #.

The company has a good business model and is doing well financially because of which there is job security. The management is toxic, the long hours and constant demands from managers are never-ending. They have a lot of "Fun activities" for staff even a canteen that sells decent food at discounted prices etc. to make up for the toxic treatment and culture. Not a place to stick around for sure.

Knowing your job schedule before hand will make you easier to do the task thất assigned to you.slightly mistakes makes ít perfec as long as you working hard .family oriented company.just a few people to test water to you at a time but not bad at all.it’s your responsibility how to handle it. If you make people happy and you done a lot for the day.
