Peel Region

My time at the Peel Region was truly an education. It helped me in understanding the troubles that the community have to face, the processes and limitations of bureaucracy as well as patience for people who are trying to get a grasp on their situations (this particularly refers to Peel Living). All of these things helped me grow as a person and trust that our team did everything in its power to accommodate the people who live in our communities. It showed me that conscientiousness can go a long way and can help the people around me turn our work environment into something positive instead of something frustrating.

Assist client with getting settled in the morning by helping with coat bags, walkers or Kane. Proving assistant with morning tea or coffee with toast or muffin. I learn to be patient and smile a lot it makes a big difference with the clients. I have a wonderful management team can got to her with anything and expect to get help. My co-worker are great work well with each other team playing group of staff. The hardest part of the day is having to go home because the clients are so wonderful and I enjoy working with each and every one. I enjoy communicating with the clients although they are a group of people who are older they make you laugh and are wonder to work with.

I worked as an immunizer. Very supportive work environment even during the hardest time due to the COVID pandemic. Very rewarding as I was able to immunize the puic for the prevention of COVID and safety and wellness if the whole community. 

The staff are wonderful, however, the management is not very approachable as they try to minimize you as an employee. Temporary full time staff do not get the same treatment as permanent staff, regardless of experience and seniority.

Easy to communicate with all departments if there is a problem that needs a solution it’s easy to reach out to the department for information you need and find the information details you need.

Peel Region was a great experience to do student consulting. It was part of our University Program to do studio planning and they did a great job at educating us about real life work experience in our field.

Other workers were very helpful when starting the job. Management was very patient and kind. I was only there as a summer student but everyone was helpful.

I took files and proof read them. Then I translated them if they were done badly. After this I checked to see how much I could actually change, if need be. Then, I did the translation.

great place to work, can be stressfull and monotous at times but its not all the time. room for growth and management is friendly and supportive. Benefits are decent to 

this place was a great way for me to interact with little children and adults assisting them to satisfactory. this job had long hours. there were friendly volunteered which made me feel welcome.
