Peer Tutoring

A lot of team engagement and trust. Everyone is assigned a different task and is required to fulfill it. Every day there are long hours of shifts and rotation. I have learned how to thrive in the community and get a long with others as well as report problems to supervisors. I have learned to be independent and handle situations in my personal way. The hardest part of the job is keeping your stamina up through the long hours as it gets very busy working there. The most enjoyable part of the job is hearing great feedback from others and knowing that I have helped them out.

At peer tutoring I always had to maintain a positive attitude. I learned that dealing with people can be difficult but rewarding. I also learned that being polite is the best way to be happy. I worked with two teachers who were always amazing and polite people. The hardest part of the job was when the kids got upset and I couldn't help. I didn't like to watch kids cry. It was amazing to see how I moulded young lives and set them on a better path.

Peer Tutor is part of my volunteer experience therefore, it is not salary based. I am in the library almost everyday waiting for a student to come in and ask for help. I learned that some people are hard to teach and some are easy. Also some are more introvert and some are extrovert. I try to adapt to the students' needs to help them with their courses. I enjoy meeting new people the most because not only I get to make friends but also hear their life experiences, not just about their hard courses but also their life outside school.

Knowledge is power! Whoever has them never can be defeated. All it need is strong determination, patience and more importantly setting up goals.
If there is a wish there is a way hence, set the goal and never give up easily. Give your best! (Y)...Cheers!

Peer Tutoring was an excellent opportunity for me to work on my communication skills, as I would help multiple students with their school work and to effectively help them I would have to convey what I'm saying in a clear and concise manner.

It is a very flexible work environment as you choose your own hours and pick what courses you want to tutor. However, there were no benefits and the job paid $10 per hour. The clients however were not always reliable and didn't pay for the service or attend sessions.

Peer Tutored a cooking class that was gave me a lot of job experience with learning how to cook for myself and also how to prepare any kind of dish. I love cooking and also love helping people learn about different dishes

overall a great place to work, entertaining and helping kids was very fun too. we would just help the kids and when they are all satisfied we would mark any tests or assignments very stress free

Tutored for College math for math 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Also many other courses that involved math skills. I really enjoyed tutoring others, and working with each individuals abilities. 

Hired by head of Automation department to help students in Hydraulics, Digital electronics, Robot programming and Auto CAD 2D and solve their problems
