I turned down another job offer to work for the People, which I now regret.  
The HR situation is a joke, and you can expect lengthy delays in the hiring process.  (6 signatures required from Winnipeg to approve a mid-level job offer)
I was told by upper management NOT to wear a tie, even though that’s how I chose to dress.  
There are good people here, however the training is woefully inadequate, and the wrong people are promoted.  (A recently promoted manager cannot even draft an email herself, and relies on spell check because she cannot write English)
A mind blowing amount of incompetence.  Senior management will tell you their door is always open, but that’s definitely not the case.  
Ego maniacs.
It’s a very cutthroat organization.  
If you’re able to tolerate the idiocy of management, the compensation is actually very good, and there are nice perks such as fresh fruit delivered to the lunchroom on Mondays.
Way too corporate.

People Corp is a ship built on growing as much as they can without any plan to actually do something about their size. 

There are so many layers of management that nothing gets done and everyone needs a say in everyone else's work. 

Senior management is incompetent, will stick their name on your work and present as their own without acknowledging you and throw you under the bus if their deadlines aren't meant.

Zero direction, zero recognition and very little retention. 

CEO seems to think there is a fantastic culture of promoting from within, when in reality it is 'no culture' at best and 'DGAF' at worst. No sense of DEI, promoting from within or acknowledging work. 

Zero decisions actually get made and email chains go on for miles.

The organization has lofty goals but unwilling to invest in the business to realize its fullest potential. Amazing people but the senior leadership doesn't have the experience to take the company to the next level.

I learned a lot about the group benefits industry and their acquisition model.

My day to day consists of working with my team of 8 consultants and working efficiently with cross functional groups to ensure we align to the common goal of bottom line growth.

The most rewarding part of my job is meeting clients and helping them achieve their goals/overcome their challenges.

- misaligned management that no direction nor work-life balance
- micromanaging (they will ask you how many hours you work on each task)
- promotion is far from your expectations (atleast give 5-10yrs before promotion if you’re not favourite)
-VERYYYY low salary
- workload is insane for the salary
- high expectations, low people focused management
- colleagues have been in the industry for quite long, but doesnt have work ethics
- highest turnover i ever seen! min. 2-3 people leaving every 2 months
- messy, toxic and pure of backstabbers and disrespectful (they will rub it off on your face!)
- JUST AVOID THIS COMPANY SERIOUSLY!

Most people work for a year and take the experience and go else where, management is lacking communication, over worked and underpaid, prejudice leadership. Management shuts you down when you want growth. People get away with slacking yet the hard workers get penalized over and over. 
Again, it’s good for experience but don’t become a lifer. Benefits are ok. Sick days and Vac days available. High turn around - you will see if you get employed here..

Overall, it's a good company. The business model is great. The work-life balance is even awesome. However, the work environment has seemingly become very toxic and a few people have become "snakes" who come around to lick at you with great smiles only to turn around and bite you very hard in the back when you least expect it. I bet every company has its own culture, and this company is no exception. However, what is unfolding here at the moment is nothing good to write home about.

The environment is awful, supervisors do not care to ensure your transitioning. There is too much drama and disorganization . Highering turn over is at HIGH. dur to the unprofessional and rude co workers. It isn't a helpful environment and people bully and ignore. Better off going remote to avoid the bad culture. Needs to be upgraded. 

PC is a very unprofessional organization. From top to bottom nobody knows what the other is doing. They are overworking and underpaying their staff. Their primary focus is growth and are not calculating the additional volume imposed on their staff. I wouldn’t recommend working there or doing business with them. The turnover is exceptionally high.

Great company to grow and learn. Fast growing company. There is a lot of potential at this company to succeed.....They really do value you as an employee 

No support and lacks leadership on all levels.  Growing too fast after aquiring of smaller member firms in Canada which lack consistency at all levels
