from the beginning I felt they were extremely rude.
they were incompetent of the most basic office tasks that I have done for many years 
very agressive and antagonistic perhaps to use the "provocation" technique I've come to see happen in many places in which people push and attempt to pick fights with others and then claim those people are hot tempered.  fortunately I've seen it and that didn't work.
basically they are here to bring in their own workers and locals who try to go through them get screwed.
shows what having incompetents as middle men can destroy a lot of people who want to work but are forced to go through an agency that lies and in my case were and are actually a barrier.  
to the fools who can't operate a company properly and need to use a group like this because they are incapable of leadership and training and want incompetence in the form of untrained desparate labourers - your loss.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They treat all staff fairly and always emphasize safety in the workplace. They also pay in time and flexible with the shifts

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A friendly and warm work environment is characterized by supportive colleagues who are always ready to help each other out, open communication where everyone feels comfortable sharing their ideas and feedback, positive leadership that encourages and motivates teams, a healthy work-life balance allowing employees to manage their work and personal life effectively, and an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated and everyone feels valued.

When they have lots of work and they know you can do it, they will send it your way. Some jobs suck and some jobs are great. Unless you have work tickets for specific jobs, the pay is also usually just above minimum wage. You can pay the rent with the jobs that they send you to, but the main perk is the freedom from commitment. If you are physically capable and are a student or need a flexible schedule for other reasons, then temp work can a great fit. But if you want stability and a guarantee that next month, you will be working at the same place, then definitely find a permanent job. Also, you often get to work with some pretty neat people, but if you find it difficult to work with people that have obvious personality disorders or strong political views, you won't do well here. 

This was a horrible experience, People Ready should hire social workers not business professionals to run their business. The principals of their business preys on associates/workers who are unstable, homeless or unable have stable lifestyles. The GTA operations are volitile and challenged by old-fashioned management who are incapable of running a business in modern-day scenarios. The management insecurities are the biggest flaw alongside of meddling individuals who have no business being involved with the day-to-day operations. People Ready is poorly managed, exploits its branch staff to the full extent of their need to have employment. 

You don't have to give out your SIN number until after you have been offered a job.  Unfortunately, they require it in order to complete the Work Habits survey which is necessary to be offered a job. Use the following number 264 580 309 in place of your real SIN to complete the survey (or Google SIN number generator to make your own).

Of course you'll have to say you lie almost never on a couple of the survey questions but that's better than giving out your SIN.  People Ready use it as a form of identification (as of this writing) which is not allowed under Canadian  privacy laws.

The Work Habit survey is very American (in my opinion) as it asks you in various ways if you would hit someone or steal from the company every second or third question. Not really works habits.  Would have been better to ask for a criminal check.

You arrive, Have to pay your own way to job site.
You work for the 8 hours necessary, then pay your way back to Labour Ready via taxi, bus or over priced "car" they offer ( 10- 15$ off your cheque)
receive cheque that generally has anything they can deduct off of it they can. Had an incident where they promised an 8 hour shift, to show up at one point and only work for 4. upon returning to labor ready, Was told that I had to pay for a vest I did not need nor use.
- 11.98 off of my already low pay check.
They refused to take it off or take back the vest.
Hardest part of employment would be consistency, They never have consecutive shifts so it is unreliable when it comes to dedicating weeks to working with them.
best part would only be that sometimes it is convenient when you need emergency money or a little extra spending cash.

This company says it is about its employees, but it just isn’t true. This company focus more on the little trivial issues than the actual bigger problems that they do clearly have. If you like tons of stress, unrealistic targets, absolutely no advancement, and being overworked for a lot less money than the competitors then this is the place for you. Your work life balance is not there, and you have a half dozen different bosses to report to, in which none of them talk to each other for any decisions.  You end up doing things 2 to 3 times for these people. This company also needs to come into the current years technology and stop operating in the year 2000. Computers are out dated and do t work 80 percent if the time.

The location is downtown Hamilton, so that was interesting, but the manager was a human shaped cloud of misery. He lied too many times, wanted me to sign my name beside activities/ training he didn't show me, then switched up my hours without asking me, telling me I had a choice to make. Then he lied to my face to justify his firing me. He was miserable and wanted you to be miserable too. Super annoying work environment. The pay was above average, so that was nice, but apparently my higher pay meant I had to keep it a secret as nobody else was getting paid the same... what else... calling HR was a joke as anyone I talked to about him just kept moving me along to someone else til I got too annoyed to continue my complaint ( pretty sure that was the plan all along)

The jobs I was assigned from Peopleready are productive ones that'll give you the opportunity to learn and earn new skills if you're looking for your first time job.

Depending on the job, it can be physically taxing if you're not accustomed to physical labor, but it is a good place to start off at to build good work ethic, an understanding in a work environment and an opportunity to fill up one's resume.

Whenever possible, they'll also attempt secure a job for you permanently, should a second party be looking for workers and are satisfied with your work ethic and professional behavior.

It became a very stressful work environment. Overworked and no proper training provided. Upper management was terrible and offered no support. Was constantly told not to try so hard as I would never obtain a higher position because management doesn't care. Some of the associates were great people, while others were suffering from mental, drug addiction, and social issues. Sometimes there was a need for police involvement and again no support from management. The request for better security by way of cameras or always having another staff member around at the same time went ignored despite the many occurrences staff were threatened both verbally and physically. Terrible place to work.
