I loved this job so much, there is independence between the pharmacies but they still maintained some unity between how their pharmacy should present itself.

Boss was super nice, was okay with you booking time off or having your lunch. However she paid below minimum wage ($13) (but it was cash upfront!) and they only spoke their own language, so if you didn't understand it you would be in trouble.

They used Fillware systems exclusively, easily my favorite system to use.

You will be responsible for everything as the pharmacy assistant -- from ordering to processing, adjudications and filling. The pharmacist is essentially only there to counsel.

nothing really, the job was peaceful, staff peaceful, and clients peaceful.

Family-like, with straightforward expectations and support to fulfill role well.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Peaceful and interesting because of the sweet elderly clients from the surrounding neighbourhood.

Incredibly busy and overwhelming, coworkers bully and sabotage each other, poor customer service, no training.  Both passive aggressive communication and aggressive.  People are constantly hired and fired or quit. Lack of team bonding, core values, communication, has a high turnover rate, unhappy employees who rarely get breaks or time off. Just an overall poor workplace culture. 

Co-workers are very nice, but management and supervisors are very difficult and can be downright unpleasant to deal with. They often stress their employees out over silly little unimportant things, giving you a never ending earful over it, then expect you to bend over backwards for them... Not a healthy work environment to be honest.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Small privately owned pharmacy makes a great work atmosphere. Staff are great and very helpful. Communication between all staff members is easy, and makes for a very comfortable place of employment.

Sometimes it can get extremely busy

Work environment is very personable. Close work relationships, dependable staff, easy communication.

They close at the latest 6pm and 5pm on the weekends.

Frequently schedule changes and dealing with the office.

Co-workers are nice but it’s a toxic place due to upper management.,

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It’s a little bit of everything

A typical day at work would include help in opening store.
Receiving and checking all orders to invoices that came to the store.
Maintained  superior customer service.
Maintained cleanliness and store displays.
Ordered  special orders for customers.
Cashed out at the end of the day/ balancing of debit / credit machines and cash.

If you are looking for small working places, this may be your option. You have time to know people there so well. You can negotiate your salary, but the more you ask, the more they want back from your working. more than they pay you.

This job was great, I only worked the weekend (Saturday 9-6)

Love the people that worked there as well as the customer's.

Cashier, lotto tickets, checking for expiry dates, pulling expired product off. 

only down thing about working here was the nasty notes left by the full time cashier.

Wasn’t such a bad place. Staff is friendly, most stressful part is knowing someone’s life is in your hands and sometimes people do get aggravated with wait times for prescriptions.
