Responsible for the Promotion and selling of generic pharmaceutical products in the Eastern Ontario Region. Overseeing the management of approximately 150 accounts and meeting with pharmacists to raise awareness of new products. Establishing positive working relationships with pharmaceutical and administration staff. Organization of conferences for education and raising awareness of hard-selling pharmaceutical products or services. Manage budgets and expenses for conferences. The planning and execution of work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables. Managing own diary and maintain a general knowledge of advances in medicine and pharmaceutical products. Keep detailed records of all contacts and meetings. Create strategies to meet monthly and annual sales targets and analysis of projected sales.

Lot of work to handle. One person deal with many projects at the same time, running 4 HPLC systems and having to enter reagents weights on LIMS, while writing in the book all the things they are doing. Impossible to finish and the next day another pile of work to deal with. No training, you just read and say you understood and you are "able" to perform the work. If some mistake happens, they blame you and ask why did you sign the training, but no one will teach you anyway. Everything is a rush, everything is a priority and the planning changes all the time so you cannot organize your day. People prefer to leave the company than try to improving things up, the turnover is huge. Most of people that
stay put live nearby and prefer to endure than have to drive to another place. Very stressful and toxic environment. 

Co-workers were great but are they are unhappy but stay bc many yrs of service. They warned me about the micro management...wow is it bad :( Worst I ever experienced. Horrible management in A/R. High turn over. Extremely hierarchical but that is expected with incompetency and lack of managerial skills in that specific dept (insecurities). So much talent in A/R but it is thwarted by poor management and misguided priorities of manager. 
Salary is below market trends. Location is terrible so traffic is disastrous. Located in an area that was recently deemed to be in the top 10 worst traffic areas in Canada.... Yup...you read correctly. Google it.

Pharmascience was once a great company to work for. However, over the last 3 years this company has had big obstacles to over come in which they failed. The new management that was brought in did a great job in leading the company and employees to failure. Upper level management has no respect for their employees and there is an enormous lack of communication problem.  There is a lack of leadership with no directives. Not many tools for employees to develop their careers and encourage moving up within the company.

What is the best part of working at the company?
A lot of female and diversity. We have fruit free once a week. A lot of talking but thats it

People who cannot do there job properply since they focus a lot on divesity. And give a chance to people without experienxe. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Environement is not motivated a lot of people leave the company because of not fixing problems and focusing on the wrong thing.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fixing problem made by other who were hire to do it.

A tipical day, when I arrive I check my e-mails, phone calls in order to follow priorities.
Follow up my bosses agenda, meetings, business lunch.
Follow up the department Finances, Budget, Project, expenses.
Follow up purchases, Purchase Orders, Negotiation, Delivery, Corporate credit card.
I learned how to deal with suppliers from Outside Canada.
Self-reliant, Independent, work with minimun supervision.
Co- workers half of the department speaks french and English

I am responsible of handling customer complaints received for pharmaceutical products manufactured in house or by third party industries. My main tasks consist in conducting investigations in collaboration with relevant departments (eg. production), determining probable cause for the reported defect and ensuring that corrective and/or preventive actions are implemented. I have learned how to meet customer specified deadlines, manage teams and priorities. I like to review documentation and find out the cause of reported quality defects.

Work / life balance, company values, lots of recognition 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Meeting deadlines means getting to market fast so I pressure myself to meet every one

Friendly and professional        

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Most days I am in the office working on documentationa and colaborating with my colleagues. Some days I am on the manufacturing floor observing processes

Cafeteria, Gym is nice
Management is very good.
My boss was awesome.
Very lay back when not in rush, but don't be fooled there's always work to do.
Can be part of projects, very transparent, very good environment.
Banking hours, flexible vacations and fridays off at 13h starting from May to October. 

Learned a lot by dealing with co-workers, managing time and projects. Had the chance to have many talks with the chairman, CEO and president. Very nice persons!

A very good paid job and nice people around easy going police and nice environment

You don't know about over time early when you about finish work then they tell you there will be over time
