When I was initially offered a entry level laborer position with Phoenix Industrial in 2012 I was skilled laborer with several years experience in the commercial and residential and no real insight or knowledge of the industrial oil & energy sector.
Though from the moment there personable hr department called I knew this is one of those companies that coaches and provides strong leadership in the field and promotes from within. And not to mention Phoenix's leadership role in sponsoring several great charities like the Little Warriors and others.

I have not been with phoenix since the completion of project Hanging-Stone in July/Aug 2014 Where phoenix had me contracted and indentured as a 1st year Blue-Book Welder. I would recommend phoenix industrial to any entry level or journeyman/ woman tradesmen or management professional in the industry.

My experience here was mixed. While the position provided valuable hands-on exposure and an opportunity to build skills early on, several organizational issues made long-term growth challenging. Promised training and development opportunities were rarely delivered, and advancement often appeared to be influenced more by internal family dynamics than by performance. Leadership involvement felt limited, with priorities seeming to center more on financial outcomes than on employee development or workplace improvement. Overall, this can be a useful place to gain initial experience, but it may not be ideal for those seeking structured growth or long-term career progression.

My creative ideas were encouraged and embraced, to help the Company grow.  You were never discouraged from bringing an idea forward which would help improve the HR Department policies and procedures.  The HR Department worked as a team, and though extremely busy, enjoyed having a good time while doing so.  The Corporate Office itself was also a very busy environment, but everyone worked well together.  And the cupcakes on your birthday are fantastic!!!!  If you are looking for an exhilarating place to work where you can embrace your career, I would recommend Phoenix any day!!!

Looking back at when I used to work at Pheonix’s corporate location...It could only be summarized as absolutely horrible. In the corporate office, managers would throw tantrums on a daily basis, scream and yell at each other while demanding you to do more and more without honouring what they promised you even in writing. If you are good at what you do, you will be exploited while you watch management promote their favourites who sit there and do maybe 1/3 of what you do. Absolute joke of a corporate office, I hear it is better in the field but I cannot confirm that as I did not work out in the field.

If you are purely about the money and have no other prospects, they're.  Not bad. They were short-changing us travel money that the client had told us to our faces we were being given for travel.  Stealing directly from the workers.  What else is new I guess.

There were a lot of good folks in the field.  Field upper management didn't care about us and it was very clear even when they "pencil-whipped" meetings going through the rhetoric about saying how were addressing our issues (they weren't addressed).

Overall the best company I've worked for and I've been in the industry 30 years. No company is perfect but Phoenix folks work hard together and that makes the difference.  Larger companies could learn a lot from them.  I learned a great deal
and made life long friends.  I'd go back if the right opportunity presented itself.

Always looking forward the next day day to work with. The management is very vocal and very supportive of their workers and employees. Learned a lot of stuff with them specially on the safety side. A very fun and open workplace culture. Should always be attentive and efficient in working at all times. The fun part is that all my co-workers are very friendly and enjoyable to work with always.

This company is extremely organized and process driven; that being said, when breakdowns in those processes are found, management is quick to find ways to resolve it and streamline the process. Management is supportive of employees learning what they need to do their jobs properly and support the necessary training. You also feel like your voice is heard and that you can have an impact on how things run. 

It's nice to have a place where you can work hard & have some laughs too.

Friendly staff, but toxic culture created by management. They operate very lean, yet there is enormous workload put on employees, with little direction or support and no OT paid for extra hrs.' worked. Poor benefits and no employer provided pension. Unless you are in desperate need of a job and thrive in a chaotic, understaffed, management belittling environment, Id stay as far away from this joke of an organization 

Productive workplace, enjoyed the crew, work a lot of great people. Is a  good group of guys to work with, the supervisors are knowledgeable about the tasks on hand and easy to talk and ask questions. They keep a relatively steady stream of work with,.employees for scheduling needed time off....
