Get assigned your own truck, they have a great maintenance program 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Often you would not know if you where working the next day, the one dispatcher was good the other dispatcher would often message you late in the day, including weekends, unless you had specifically booked days off you would be expected to work 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A bit of a clicky bunch, lots of old boys been doing this for a while

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Show up 30  minutes before your scheduled leave time to do pretrip, drive to pit, drive the same route most the day, they didn’t like you taking 10-15 min breaks after 3 hrs because waiting for the loader to load you was break enough

Get to work 1/2 hour early, fuel and grease the machine
Maintenance of machine  I learned to deal with weather conditions, how to work with others (communication), co-workers with lesser experience.
Management was considerate with family committments (days off), church, long-weekends. The hardest part is learning to explain tasks, and the most enjoyable part is everyone coming together at the end of the day, having a productive, safe and successful day. Meeting different people from across Canada and around the world.

I liked it lots of great people and they got work if you need it. Highly recommend great place. Some of it is kind a on call idea but usually you start and job and finish it before moving on to another project. They had everything required for any job and the foreman were good too work for.
I worked in the shop and in the oilfield definitely enjoyed the pay and the other employees willingness to work and accomplish things.

Solid, well established company- great people- office and field. Good selection of great Iron with good service. This company does work around the province so you have to be ready and willing to travel but it’s a great experience seeing Alberta. They are like any other earthworks company- when there’s work it’s balls to the wall. tommmmmmbut when

No recognition for positive input. The management team don't appear to care about anything but filling seats. "Do as I say, not as I do" mentality. There are worse places to work, and overall is just ok.

I would highly recommend working for this company.
They make you feel like family 
Very versatile, and will try their best to accommodate you, if problems or emergencies arise.

Not a great company to work for. The for foreman are great but the management of the company need to give their heads a good shake. If you want to work for a company that does not care about you, then this is the place.

management did not care about drivers just wanted to work them till they died would not listen when driver said they were tired and were not safe to drive and safety was always fowling drivers trying to find reason to fire them

When they were busy they paid great.  
Weather dependent work.
Sometimes physical.  
Some points on the trailers needed to be safer for entering and exiting the trailer.

very good training lots of hours equitment was all ways capable to get the job done lots of good hard working indavidgles lots of work all over alberta and close to home
