I got the job through a Job agency, hoping to find some work, and when I first got there, I was disappointed.
Not because the work wasn't hard to do, but it was a fact there was barely anything to do.

You'll usually be lifting tires, labelling them and putting them in trucks, at least when there are orders.
However, when it gets near 8:00 or 9:00, you'll have nothing to do, sure they'll tell you to clean up the building and throw out the trash, but you quickly get it done so fast that it won't even matter, and they'll still tell you to clean it up about ten times.

It got so bad that I was begging them to give me more work, yet I was to wait for work to come every time until, eventually, out of the blue, they let me go.

I have wasted so much time in this place only to be kicked out because I dared to ask for more work.

If you ever plan to work, you'll have a better time with a forklift licence, but if not, you'll do a lot of waiting.

Beyond salary there is no compelling reason to stay with the company. Health benefits are poor, salary increases are never without you having to be aggressive to get them and then they are small, and you’re treated as if you were disloyal for wanting the increase. 

Ownership is disconnected from employees and really don’t care about them. They use other company’s culture quotes as smoke and mirrors but really don’t care at all. The same can be said of how they treat customers. They will hang them out to dry when it benefits the owners. 

Direction of the company is unclear. Poor leadership top down. When they do get lucky and add good leadership they lose them once that new leadership gets to know the owners more. 

If you only require salary and can stay under the radar, it’s a good company for that. 

beware of this company. Company has an enticing façade but one you see the inner culture in the company, it is completely and utterly garbage. The Management is looking blindly on true and skillful employees. The management is not trustworthy. The company will also take advantage of the applicants in need of a job that they would low ball the compensation which would be below market value.

Bad management , like everyone says, they talk to you like best friends , then report to top management

Working hard to find out it’s only people from the same country who gets promoted

Not trusting, no one talks , if they do talk it’s a language other than English

working without supervision and seeing other parts of north america

dealing with rush hour traffic in major citys

It was bad at best. they say one thing and do something else 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
days were slow. much waiting and inconsistent communication.

Ownership runs the company like they would run their household. They play favorites with employees that are not trustworthy, health & safety is ignored as long as the work is done on time. No support from Head Office & Human Resources is non existent.  

I have been with this compnay for a while now and as with every company there are ups and downs. 
In my experience the ups do outweigh the downs, but would love to see more communication between all levels of management. 
At times it can feel like upper management does not understand the workings of other departments and what they require. 
All in all though working at Pival has been a great experience. 

Please do NOT accept any job offers....this company just uses their employees to the maximum without any opportunities to grow or advance....the minute you ask for a performance review they will find someone else who will do the job for cheaper!



Dispatch are good guys who look after the drivers. Upper management too good to talk to you. They don't encourage loyal drivers to stay. Bond has to be paid to company. After leaving, company makes sure they keep it all.  $900 in total

Lots of politics. Extremely high turnover and favouritism, so there’s no motivation to stay especially if the compensation is also bad.

The hardest part of the job was having to teach the newly promoted people how to do their job.

The most enjoyable part of the job was my shift and work from home days
