What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The people who don't win sometimes get the supervisor involved or if someone steals and you don't notice, you get written up

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very active and very lively.  This would not be good for people who like the quiet 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Before you open you need to count money. Once you do you need to make sure everything looks good. Set up for your game. At the end of the day you double check if you gave out the right amount. If you mess up too much,  you get written up.

I absolutely loved my time working at Playland as a rides operator. It it a great opportunity to get to know people your age or of varying ages as you work together. 

The management was helpful. Supervisors were quick to come to your aid if there was a concern with the ride or a customer concern. 

I learned how to work in a very fast paced environment efficiently and in a friendly manner in regards to customers. 

I learned safety procedures and what to do in emergency situations or safety situations. 

Everyone that works there is very welcoming of their employees and co-workers. It is really easy to make friends - they are not just your co-workers.

Playland is a great place to have your first job as it is a seasonal job and full of opportunities. The only problem that i have with playland is the fact that management has favourites and is very unreasonable to the people who aren't on the favourite list. Fortunately, I was part of the favourites and working there was very enjoyable. Scheduling, on the other hand, was a pain but it was understandable as there were over 100 employees. One of the most memorable things about working as a games attendant was my other employees, the employees were all wonderful people who made working there amazing.

My time at Playland working as a rides attendant has left me with mixed feelings of the company and its management. Often I would be marked late during my earlier shifts without checking if I was at my station yet. The managers though young did not show enthusiasm and almost seemed annoyed to be in charge of their employees. Overall the place at rides for Playland may not be ideal for all people.

It's an OK place to work at for first job. 
Managers clearly only pays attention and knows the leads (team leads). If your an attedent they seem to careless to know who you are. Advancements in job postin seems HARD to achieve, given that there is a covert hierarchy system if your not notice by a manger or become a "favorite". Then you likely would not be prompted to be a lead.

I loved working here because you gain different skills, get more experience and is a fun environment. You meet fun and chill peopled feel like a family by the end of the work season. Working here defiantly helped me with my confidence towards work and myself.

Games attendant runs on commission base. Culture encourages competition in the sense that your sales determines your hours and low pay is expected to be covered by commission. It is unionized and they are very open to inviting you back for their summer seasons.

The environment is very rich and friendly, and you learn valuable experience on how to sell a product, interact with guests, and learning to communicate. You also get opportunities to show off your skills and use your creativity to your advantage. Lastly, you are guaranteed to make new, lasting friendships and connections!

One of the greatest place to learn customer service. I enjoyed interacting with the customers. Especially trying to sell my games and try to encourage the customers that they should keep trying to play the games so they could win big toys.

Playland is a really great summer job. Its really flexible and most of the people are nice. I would recommend it to highschool students as I have been working there since i was 16. The pay is nice and you get a sick 25% discount on food and if youre on the tracks department you get to ride the wooden rollercoaster every morningshift you get
