Please Mum

Overall, Please Mum was a great experience for me. My manager was great, and my co-workers as well. We all worked well together. I learned lots of new things with Please Mum. I learn how to do waybills, inventory control, filing, how to work our computer system, Emailing and receiving e-mails from other stores, answering the phone, etc. The hardest part of the job was our last month of being open. Our store closed. The reason for being so hard, was only have one co-work, manager, and my self left working. We work 50 hours a week each just to keep the store in proper running order. Also the last week was pack up and shipping everything in the store. I have no complains with my Job at Please Mum.

My position was a customized employment because I could not handle the cash registry due to my disability. I was still hired as a retail store associate yet I would not require to do the cashier tasks. I was very pleased with this arrangement. Co-workers were very friendly and helpful. The hardest part of the job was making sales. I would not know how much sales I had made. The most enjoyable part of the job was greeting customers and helping people.

-My typical day involved stocking supplies, processing sales on the computer and assisting customer with their needs
-Learned how to handle difficult customers with patience, care, friendliness and respect
-Management at this company was really great and accomodating
-My co-workers were lovely to work with - very supportive
-Hardest part of the job was manual labour
-The most enjoyable part of the job was fulfilling customers needs

Being the first place of work in Canada, it helped me learn greatly the Clothing retail market in North America. Good management and co-operative during competitive and peak seasons of the year. Helped to grow and supported ones growth for their skills and abilities. Direct approach and / or communication with higher management would at times be limited.

When I managed the please mum store they had just opened up several pop up stores to blow out all of their stock. They lead everyone to believe their stores weren't pop ups but then closed them all down after a year leaving several people unemployed.

I've always enjoyed working with the public, I'm very outgoing and I make a great team leader. I work well with the public and my employees. I haven't been in employed for8 years from being ill and I'm ready to work

At Please Mum I found a love for working with clothes and enjoyed my time there. 
I learned a lot about merchandising, customer service and some management skills. 
The hardest part was working with certain employees.

I loved my job at please mum I worked there till they closed there doors it’s a very good company they work with you to get to your goal I learned a lot from management and how I could go up in the company or move to another store in bc 

Unfortunately this company is no longer in business, but when it was, it was the best job I had. Everything from flexibility in their hours, to advancement and the people I had worked with was genuinely awesome. 

Too bad its gone.

The product sold was of great quality and it was easy to promote it to the customer. I was lucky to work with some great people during my time here and learned a lot from everyone. 
It was unfortunate that this company had to close.
