 I made some good friendships while working for PLENTY, Some people who work for the company are really genuine people and have big hearts that I will never lose respect for and appreciate. On the other hand, you’ll deal with the bad apples of PLENTY who get favourited. Management may say that you can talk to them when there’s an issue but will never do anything about it. They seem nice at first till you realize once you get close with them or hear something from a coworker, all they do is talk bad on your name and gossip. Most of the girls here are catty therefore it just ruins the brand of the reputation PLENTY wants to go for. This company is so toxic to work at unless you have thick skin and don’t pay much attention to it. If you’re working for just the money, don’t bother. The pay varies but most likely you’ll just get minimum wage DEPENDING on your experience. Lastly, I’d like to say management is immature with a teenage mindset but no one has the courage to say anything because you’d basically be bullied or confronted. If you’re looking a job.. Please don’t pick PLENTY.

Plenty has great staff discount that other employers can not offer. With time to time store credit you can save hundreds of dollars a month on clothes. They do not really ask much for staff style because the clothes are all pretty casual, the schedule is pretty free with request days off easily approved most of the time. And standards in the store quite relaxed compared to other retailers, the downside is that the company is small and the owner controls EVERYTHING he could possibly do. Could run into a store on a busy day and yell and people to change things around, clearly he hasn’t been working in a retail store in a really long time and doesn’t know how a retail stores run in 2024. It also affects styles in the stores with the buyers clearly not knowing the trends and buying stuff you would see in 2014 and expecting people to go crazy on it. Overall it’s not a bad company to work at as long you are a minimum wage stylist and just there for the paycheck, the company clearly doesn’t want any newbies in control of anything in head office so don’t even think of getting a chance to promote. 

Worked here for many years, enjoyed my time when I first joined the company. You make lots of connections and the sales associates/key holders are all very supportive and kind. However, unfortunately, the same cannot be said about top management or head office. Store managers across the company are pushed to be aggressive toward their employees, and when concerns are brought up they are pushed to the side. Many people have contacted head office about the hostile environment and attitude of management across multiple stores and yet nothing was done, and "lower" staff get blamed. Very sad to see so many managers and employees come and go due to the hostile environment that was created and the organizational style (or lack thereof). It was also a fight to get any sort of raise, it would take months of approval as management has to get it approved by head office as well. 

After working here for 3 years I would never go back, at the beginning the company was great to work with, felt very family like and encouraging but the last 2 years they have gone extremely down hill and that also shows in their sales now. Upper management does not care about any of your concerns they do not want to help, if you think they do it's a trick to manipulate and gaslight you into thinking what they are doing is okay, ex. raises you have to ask for a million times, even if they agree to definitely give you a raise, it will not happen unless you basically harass them and even if you get to that point they will take back their word and make up an excuse as to why you don't deserve the raise anymore. Grown adult managers are always talking bad about young staff regardless if they are a good employee or not, but they will praise people who are pretty like models even if they are terrible employees. Overall very toxic and shady environment which really sucks because it used to genuinely be a really great place to work.

Literally one of the worst RETAIL jobs I've ever had. Managers don't give a two cents about u or anyone else.I had to work 6-7 days straight,  8 hour shifts (more than managers) because they double booked me... I was putting in more effort than the managers were and I wasn't even getting paid well or had benefits !!!!!! There's also no HR team which inconvenient. Head office needs to get their stuff together because it puts a strain and extra work load for the associates. Plenty refuses to hire more people for the work load they put out. VM was also unpleasant to work with whenever they came into the store to the merchandise on the floor, they  scream at the rest of the team.. When all they did was rearrange the store to make it look exactly the same. Honestly save your time and effort and find another retail job because this place is terrible. 

Some of the coworkers were kind, however, the management and more senior coworkers had mean-girl attitudes that made it difficult to learn and make connections. Trying to engage in conversation was often met with one-word responses or an immediate end of the conversation at hand. Making a mistake more than one single time was met with eye rolls and I was often made to feel stupid for still learning. In general, the management made me feel very small, and frankly, like I was never going to fit in no matter what, so I'm not surprised that there was a massive turnover when I started. The clothes are cute and the discount is pretty nice but it wasn't worth the decline of my mental health to stay. 

Opening the store seemed okay for the first few days, but then they over plan the schedule and ended up cancelling shifts like crazy. The other stylists are excellent, but the management couldn't be any more fake. They seem really nice during the first few shifts, and their true selves come out. I have never met a management team who criticizes you just because of a simple brand mistake? as well; they don't care about you even if, on their onboarding, they said they care about us. They really don't. lastly, this company is the most unorganized company I've ever worked for. please don't choose to work here save urself and find a better company! 

I struggled financially with this job because I kept getting cut a few hours into my shift, every time I was scheduled. Had far too many talks with managers about what I was doing incorrectly, I think if they were unhappy with me they should've just let me go. They were EXTREMELY nitpicky about everything, and I feel like I was expected far too much for what I was getting paid. I think this place has great employees with a good work culture between employees but I wouldn't recommend it for someone who has bills to pay/wants to feel understood and accepted when it's harder to meet store standards.

It's a smaller company so you get to be involved in a lot of different aspects of the business and job roles, even entry level positions are not as narrowed down as the are in larger companies. Upper management cares about the employees and the culture is generally quite relaxed. Company does lack structure so policies, incentives change all the time which can be hectic.

I worked the first a short bit because I found management to very caddy and an made the environment seem like a high school lunch room.  I have worked in retail for 6 years and was looking forward on working/ growing with the company. I couldn't take the close-minded, hostile feeling of walking on eggshells that the managers set up. If you can find better prospects, go for it!
