Porsche sounds like a nice place to work, unfortunately that is not the case. I've worked at a few dealers, this was hands down the worst one. After joining, I was warned by many people that very often people are fired for no reason from Porsche centre north toronto and they were unfortunately correct.

The job itself is easy if you have experience, the pay however is not good for what they expect from you. Work life balance is non existent since they have a mandatory evening shift, most people in a corporate company can spend time to spend with their families, not working on cars until midnight. You will not be respected working here and will only have your time wasted. Training is non existent, outside of videos which aren't all that useful. If you ask the same question more than once since you were not properly trained you will be met with attitude.

People are let go from their job positions suddenly with no warning and when a record of employment is submitted do Service Canada, they will add false statements to said document. Management and HR likes to play around with peoples livelihood and income.

Lots of friendly people working here, such as technicians and the people in parts but management is incompetent and unprofessional. They brag about how many awards they win from Porsche Canada, which is conveniently located upstairs, they're basically shaking their own hand... embarrassing!

Was an okay place to work at initially, but went downhill. Contractors (car washers, drive thru attendants, lot attendants and receptionist) will not get any raises, benefits that are offered are extremely poor and super pricey for what is offered. 

Takes a lot of time to get promoted. Most of the contractors are not happy.  You will be treated differently from certain managers as you are a contractor. 

Not sure why they treat us like that as contractors play a vital part in the day to day operations of the dealership. Upper management will call us all a big team when in reality they only care about full time Porsche employees.

A lot of work and responsibilities for what you get paid. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people and the company events, although those started to become fewer over the years. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They expect everyone to do the work of 2-3 people. Everyone is on the slow road to burnout. If you speak up about it, you’re not a “team player”.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The staff are all very friendly and easy to get along with. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy, chaotic at times. There always seems to be something to be fixed. The focus of course is on client experience but sometimes that puts a lot of pressure on the employees.

Wasn't too bad of place to work 3 years ago, before all the changes in management. Management not knowing how to talk to their employees or co-workers with respect or decency, men think its okay to speak to women condescendingly.  HR continues to decline, not knowing how to be on top of their job, constantly making mistakes. Don't bother filing a complaint with them, they don't take it seriously. No areas to move up, unless you want a change of title with no pay difference!! Managers can't even do the job they manage the team for, so no support there either!  Only bright side would be the fellow coworkers who have to endure the pure stupidity of managers.

I would say it is the great people that make this dealership a very good place to work.  Coming from 20 years of automotive experience , so far this would be the pinnacle of car dealerships to work for.  We are like a small family in a corporate world and  everyone is very helpful and welcoming.  Really dont have any complaints so far.  Our results and performance/reviews speak for themselves.  Coming from another luxury brand  I realize I made the right move.

Joining the team at Porsche Center North Toronto has been the best career choice i have ever had.  It is a challenging environment but the professional structure and excellent leadership definitely makes daily work life very enjoyable.  All my colleagues offer a great experiences and joining an amazing brand oriented organization really excites me about my growth within the company!  

Has huge potential to be a solid workplace but due to being contracted out through a third party company rather than hired from Porsche there’s a feeling of, “us vs them”. Don’t truly feel part of the team

Any concerns are not taken seriously. Feel hard work isn’t appreciated and as a contractor you’re easily replaceable and bottom of the barrel


Never thought I would be working in the automotive industry after graduating. However, after working at Porsche Center North Toronto I regret not starting earlier! Workers are super easy going and management is super supportive. PCNT is definitely the place to work for and you get to look at nice cars every single day! 

Great dealership to work for, everyone has a role and duty to fulfill and it helps the dealer flow well. 

There is room for growth, opportunities come by here and there but if you were to take initiative there will be success.  

What a terrific place. No job is perfect,  but the people here create a culture of caring for each other as much as the customers and this holds true up the chain of command. Packed full of well educated and helpful people, you are never on your own.
