This review is mostly for the older Porter location on 114 ave.
A typical day at work here is more stressful then it needs to be. Its a simple pick, load and unload forklift job. But they complicate it everything to much with unnecessary rules and protocols, that change almost daily.

What I learned at this company, is that you cannot trust your coworkers. You are basically doomed to fail right from the beginning, if you do not listen or take advice of one individual that isn't management, you will be constantly reported to management for slacking off, and other lies.

Workplace culture is "everyone hates everyone", and you try not to ask for help because you'll get reported for slacking off, or belittled for not knowing what to do.

Management; Do you like being talked down to? Made to think you are stupid?
Do you like being blamed for other coworkers damages or being written/suspended up for damages you do accidentally? Do you like being told at the end of the day you can leave 15 minutes early (close early), but later find out you have your hours cut 15 mins everyday?

Hardest part of this job is just trying to survive, it is stressful, but at the end of the day you get to go home, and do it all again tomorrow.

The most enjoyable part of my job was when I quit.

I'll start by saying I really like the people I work with but the positives stop there. It really seems like upper management has no idea what they're doing but they're quick to blame the people at the bottom for their lack of planning. And the people at the bottom take a lot of extra stress because of this ignorance from the top. It seems like everyone is always putting out fires instead of looking ahead to avoid the problems to begin with. There's no avenue for employees to express their concerns or share their ideas. It's a decent place to work if you just want to make money and go home, but if you're wanting to advance your career at all I would look anywhere else. They set people up for failure here and nobody needs that stress on them.

Do you enjoy sweeping the floors and cleaning doorknobs for hours and hours, and being yelled at if you don’t? Then this is the fun work environment you’re looking for! You will have so much fun spending more time cleaning the warehouse than you will ever spend operating a forklift! Enjoy being paid the absolute bare minimum and having your hours cut each day! They even offer benefits that will cost you more than at any other company, ever! SO MUCH FUN!

Great company great team. 
They pay better than average. I started with an entry level position at $25/hr and after 3 months they bumped it to $27.50

The work is not difficult and there is lots of downtime. Free coffee food and you get to go home early 3-4 times a month and get paid in full. 

3 week’s vacation after only 3 months. 

Lots of freedom and clean place. 

They don’t even judge you for taking the odd day off here and there. 

Work is not exhausting and they don’t demand the world from you.

Several locations for easier transportation accommodations 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Upper managements restricted by a privacy policy resulting in poor communication to achieve tasks as required 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
High stress due to lack of communication with an overall low morale

People who work at Porter are great, the leaders, the team members are all kind,  caring, and collaborative. External executive management is horrible, will drop in and verbally berate team members, come in with inconsistent direction, and leave without any follow up or support on items they dragged the team for. 

Started off at $18.50/hr, after 3 years I was making $20.00/hr. The raises didn't even cover cost of living increases, then they started hiring at $19.50/hr which meant new hires were making $0.50/hr less than I was after 3 years. If someone wasn't doing their job properly, management expected me to fix it instead of getting that person to correct their own mistakes!

If you stress to achieve, managements helps to the best degree they can for you to advance. Vast diversity of cultural people. Be a team player and you are recognized as a team player. 
Management understanding in regular life stuff and help you balance it with work 

Trust your instincts and when red flags come up! Trouble makers who have zero care about others and sabotage people while pretending to be your pal.
Lots of politics!!!! Shady as shady gets.
Lots of throwing under the bus and ego 

I have had nothing but good experiences with the company and look forward to my growth as i have taken on the role of operations manager. The future is bright within this company, lots of room for growth
