I monitored 3 other staff members as the Accounts Receivable Supervisor. They were all super personalities. I made sure that they were all performing their daily functions in accordance with the office guidelines. I had my own work to perform as well. I monitored 6000+ accounts in various cities, communicated with the branch managers in each of the locations, communicated with the technicians regarding customer accounts. Ran full cycle accounting reporting to the controller. Did invoicing of all work performed by the technicians.
I learned probably more than the average person about Pest Control. 
The hardest part of the job was leaving it. 
The most enjoyable part of the job was the commradary amongst the staff. It was like one great big happy family.

Leaving at the end of the day was the most satisfying part of the day.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Having to follow through with requests from the son that were irrational.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A completely toxic environment driven by the son and controller.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Wake up with  nausea and forcing myself to the office to deal with defeated & deflated  staff due to the continuous criticism by the owner and controller making unrealistic and devisive demands upon them.  Attempt to redirect their ignorance to more constructive pursuits.

I joined this company in 2013 when it was owned by Poulins himself now retired after doing business for more than 60 years. The environments in the company were very congenial and nice like one family. Every body was responsible for uplift of business with their best ability and integrity with the best satisfaction of customers in all four provinces of Canada. In last few months it is heard that technicians like to leave the jobs as the old owner is retired and new owner i.e. his son has taken over the company and the level of understanding between the workers has decreased . It was very nice company when I worked in that.

The whole place needs an overhaul. Too many "alpha" personalities.  Too much behind the scenes backstabbing and gossip.  No real leadership. Work not hard, they are very disorganized and the training is all over the place. Head office needs to train via video and it's very difficult to do the job when everyone is always watching you and hovering. The dispatcher needs a major attitude adjustment especially when you push back and create safe and healthy boundaries.  The account/sales manager is very nosey and unethical. The pay is not worth the toxic environment.  I deserved to work in a safe and respectful environment.... this is not that. 

Very minimal training. Your day consists of completing jobs in a certain time frame. All of these jobs will have a description explaining what to do and where. Only problem was the lack of detail and the fact that most if not all notes are outdated and not accurate. Unprofessional, no real training, no standards, if you end up working here don't bother to try just relax and take your time or you will just be handed more jobs. Toxic environment, the Edmonton branch is a constant revolving door of employees for a reason.

as management was changing, the expectations became less clear and a lot of continuous negative feedback really hurt moral.  It used to be a good shop.  
I was accused of a lot of things i did not do, and they even tried to accuse me of not taking care of their equipment. 
One example is when they let another tech use my truck and he got a lot of dog fur all over everything.  I was written up and they insisted i get it professionally detailed.  I do not own a dog, no have ever owned a dog.
There were a lot of good people working there when i started, as far as i know, not a single one of them is left.

This company doesn’t care about their staff, or the customers are treated poorly paid poorly not trained properly equipment is unsafe management is terrible and the place is full of back stabbers and snakes and vision is not included in the benefit package. I would not apply here management will 
Find a reason to fire you because you’re not working out when really the training is inadequate this is a terrible company and the terrible place to work. Do not apply and waste your time. You’ll never get a raise

Most days were great if left alone to do my job

Poor management/boss & staff. Overall wouldn't recommend this to anyone I know looking for a Administrative job. Expected to do above & beyond what the job description entails, work load of other employees dumped on you because they sit on Facebook allday and don't complete their work, poor training. Mouthy defiant receptionist that loses her temper, screams at staff and is still allowed to work there. A boss that just expects you to "figure it out" when your not sure.

Lack of training. Extremely toxic enviroment

Toxic. Extreme staff turnover. Zero trust from management
