You are calling people your whole shift. Time drags listening to the phone ring. If you are an extrovert, you will probably enjoy the job, you get to speak with so many people in one shift. I personally didn't as it felt too much like "selling" due to encouraging and strategically trying to get people to do surveys with you. Many people dont have the time, or think you are scamming due to that being big right now. A lot of it is cold calling. Can be stressful for some, and management isn't always kind l, although they try sometimes.

Prairie Research Associates were flexible with employee scheduling as well as when requesting time off. The management were very accommodating and professional at all times.
Unfortunately the downside was that many times they would not have enough hours and one would not get any hours for weeks. As well, the pay remained at or just above minimum wage.
Having said that it was an overall a good experience working there.

Prairie research was a great place to work, the management was great and professional and the hours were very flexible, great place for a student to work. on a typical day we tried to make as may calls as possible so we could  meet our quota, the hardest part of the job was to get people to listen and do the surveys.

It is the perfect job for students and very flexible hours but there are some crazy coworkers. Lots of gossip and one supervisor talks trash to employees about other employees. So unprofessional and childish too. Not a job that you can build a career in.

A typical day at work includes taking several calls from clients, you are expected to finish the call within the call handle time stated by your manager, expected to make sales over the phone as your job will be in trouble if sales quotas are not met.

management really lets you thrive and encourages self motivation. loved working here! i moved but i wish i could take it with me lol. the work is interesting and the atmosphere is chill

Most relaxed and easy going call center I've ever worked at which explains why most people have been here for going on 10+ years and rising.Very helpful and encouraging and just let you be yourself

Very Friendly atmosphere and great staff who leave you to work unsupervised and are very resourceful and helpful. Of all the call centers I have worked, this is simply the best one

Stressful workplace; hardest part is trying to get people to do surveys; work culture is great people to work with but supervisors are intimidating; enjoyable part is the people that you work with and it is too slow-paced.

Fine if you don’t need a challenge and are willing to settle for minimum wage and minimum effort. Workplace is casual but hours are almost exclusively evenings.
