Pre-Con

The typical day at work is from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. I have learned and will continue to learn lots of information about CAD practice, which will help me gain experience in the construction industry. In addition, the staff at Pre-con are very competent at their job and have decades of engineering experience. The management team is very caring and regularly checks on staff to make sure their concerns are being heard. The hardest (but one of the most important) parts of the job would be familiarizing yourself with the construction terminology that is used at the company and the most enjoyable part of the job is working as a team to solve CAD problems which frequently arise. 

My typical day at work is making sure all the employees have the necessary items to do there job. My store in the shipping and receiving I keep it well monitored. That entails managing stock, keeping inventory, ordering, driving parts to other plants and also pick up. I have learned to manage my time wisely, have better people skills, became more computer knowledgeable. The most enjoyable part of  the job is that I am versatile and every day bring something new to the table.

Company recently failed a air quality test.  Plant is very dusty and safety is ignored here.  Pay is very low and quite a weird company culture. When I came here I had to read and do a report on the Fred factor.  About motivation.   This is a farce. They will use the Fred factor as a weapon against you.  Any issue you bring up to supervisors will be used against you.  A lot of nice labourers working here but management is very nasty.  They are toxic and look out. As mentioned before.   Unhealthy place to work.

Really nothing to say here. Maybe going home at the end of the shift?

Extremely high job expectations for pay. Dusty, dirty and disorganized production environment, with a lot of jobs to be done outside, working out of your personal car in the mud

PreCon has been an amazing experience over the last couple months.  The entire HR team has been fantastic with my transition into an HR Generalist.      I would not change a thing!  I would recommend PreCon to all my friends and family because they truly are a company that cares about work-life balance.

biggest mistake of my life, timings are very bad, they will treat u very bad, supervisors are a pain in the , they have no knowledge of the work and always play the blame game if anything goes wrong on their watch.

I enjoy my daily tasks, I learned a lot in terms of contract terms and negotiations. It's a matrix organization, difficult to obtain full cooperation of other departments.No clear directions are given at time of changes.

Pre-Con was a very busy place with many demands put on me.  I performed many different functions within my roles at this company.  It was good because I learned a lot about the industry which was new to me.

i have work for this company for 15 years and i find it a very good good company for other to apply, vacation are fair to people, vacation goes depending of years working days
