Great pay for an entry position, however some crews were poorly managed while others were not. You worked hard, you were respected you slacked off you got greif. However they need to take a little more time to teach their green hands how to do things correctly, instead of yelling and making them nervous, anxious, and discouraged. It was a great company for safety, majority of the crews did their part to make sure they did there safety meetingsHowever if you like physically demanding work this is the job for you. It can be long hours but the pay is great. If you land on a bad crew don't hessitate to call the office and request a transfer they are very accomodating for issues such as this. The hardest part of the job is the go-go fast paced enviroment. Everything is supposed to be done 30 seconds before you started it. Some of my coworkers were extremely friendly, some were not. But as with any work place you learn to deal with it. I learned alot on this job how to work hard even if you think you know what hard work is, you probably don't trust me rigg work is a whole new level. There is alot of tools I never knew existed till I worked ona rig. The most enjoyable part of this job to me was deffinitly the money.

They don’t care about you. There is a reason they are constantly hiring and buying the competition. It’s all about money not the employees. You get threatened with no work, was told to move closer to the rig because they did not want to pay KM (which is one of the lowest rates around) and hotel. They have no idea what happens in the field just smoke and mirrors. I have worked for smaller companies that pay for your coveralls, gloves, more per km, dry cleaning and we’re happy to do it. Pd posted a profit of 357 million and can’t even pay for the required impact gloves. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
My pay and compensation package that was carried over from my previous job.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Poor Management they weren't worried about making things better just keep putting out the same system that resulted in people getting hurt often. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Everyone is siloed they use the word "family" a lot but the is a lot of angry people among there staff

At Precision Well Servicing, the days are long and the work is hard. You are battling the weather and physical exhaustion. We are constantly working in a team environment. Good communication and the ability to deal with personalities makes or breaks a crew. Becoming part of the team and working effectively helps with the long days.  When I ran crews no one did all of the work. The goal was to keep every worker as close to "fresh" as possible. This helped prevent injuries and lower the amount of fatigue a person felt.

When it comes to starting a career in Oil and Gas with no prior experience, you might as well start with the guys at the Oil well, and these guys are a good place to start. Ask lots of questions and work hard and you will be rewarded. I found the work challenging but very rewarding. "On Drilling Rigs, the men deal with Iron, On Service Rigs, the men are made of Iron."

I enjoyed the hard work and the sense of acomplishment i would feel at the end of every work day. The days were long and hard but very rewarding. I was paued well and treated even better by managment and my co workers. I only wish there was more job security but i understand its an industry job and i understand sometimes there are layoffs.

Great atmosphere with colleagues at same level as me and above. Not very much job security as it was involved in the oilfield. Typical day involved rigging up, killing oil well/ gas well, removing pipe from well then abandoning said well. Very high pace no room for error. Hardest part of job would be tailing out pipe on the pipe trailer. Most enjoyment from job was the people I worked with. Very fun and accepting group of people.

They'll take hands and don't care where they get them and just fill holes without a single thought of anything else horrible place to work.  Show up with a crew and they just take them placing them anywhere as a driller or rig manager you will wind up sitting while your Derrick hand and floorhands phone you constantly wondering when they are going back to work with you and they wind up quitting, terrible place to work,  greatest place to dismantle a crew, office staff is extremely disorganized.

You’ll get bounced around from rig to rig often and rigs are always shutting down so don’t count on working more then 2 weeks in a row cause you’ll be shut down for some reason. Then you’ll come back eventually. Some of the rigs have really bad management and it’s impossble to learn if your green with some but others have amazing crews. Really hit or miss. They have rigs full of guys not working then they’ll hire new guys and leave the experienced starving.

They are a very preachy company. But they don’t actually care about the employees. They only care about the money. They will sit you so long you go broke and it does not bother them at all. The field sups are only looking out for themselves and won’t help you out.  I would not recommend anyone to work there unless you have no where else to go.
