This company has the best manager I've ever had, period. Easy-going, happy to give overtime, and understanding when jobs take longer than expected, which will happen in our industry. Most importantly for me, I am given enough time to do my jobs thoroughly, and the work atmosphere implies that heavily, which I can't say for any other company I've worked for, unfortunately. Since there's too much work and not enough people, I've always had to prioritize speed over quality, which is not okay.

The scheduling is okay, but I only know a few small companies that aren't a complete mess, and they are trying. This isn't an issue, however, as I have never been given a hard time for not completing all scheduled work. Again, I have never had that from any other company. Though only a small/medium-sized business, they are spread out all over Canada. This was a big inconvenience until they started weekly meetings to keep everyone informed.

Are you done with fortune 500 companies referring to you as a number, and expecting an arm and two legs? How about coordinators or management that treat you terribly? As long as you actually work and treat everyone with respect, office staff included, this place will be paradise in comparison! No company is perfect, but the right boss really does make or break a company!

Premium Fire promotes personal and professional growth for all its staff. They provide on the job training, online training as well as paid certification training for all staff members. 

The management is supportive towards all their staff member across all offices. There are weekly meeting which allows for discussion of new assignments, training requirements and issues or concerns if any. 

The workplace is quite friendly and allows for open communication. 

I believe Premium Fire is unique workplace that provides flexibility, learning and growth. 

Very unorganized, was sent to jobs without proper training and without the tools I needed to complete the job. Never gave me apprenticeship hours they promised and have yet to file my ROE, still battling with that.

On a positive note, you will always be busy and there is plenty of opportunity to work OT. The office staff is generally pretty responsive when you are out in the field and have questions. Working indoors is nice in the winter. 


Tons of driving across Alberta, on the road a lot staying in motels, hotels etc.. A tight schedule to follow

My favorite part of being a Manager at Premium Fire is the collaboration across teams. I love traveling to offices for training to meet new starters in person and make them feel welcome. 

With all the offices being far apart and small, a lot is done through zoom and chat with colleagues from other offices. On Fridays the admin staff share links to fun songs to bump up the mood! 

And the techs see have meetings every week from their tablet which is a nice way to touch base especially since they travel often.

Pay was good but company was lost when I was there constant shifts in management never know who is in charge of what from one week to the next. Poor trainingTold to do jobs your not qualified to complete some management treat you horribly if you point this out are told just do it ,then you get introuble if not completed properly.

poorly managed company. would get schedule of work day of, never knew if i needed to pack a lunch. surprise week long trips out of town. if you have a family do not work for them. if your are single, they will take every advantage of that.

The team at Premium Fire Protection Ltd. feels less like a team, and more like a family. I have yet to have a negative experience with the people who work here, and the managers are very accomodating to personal needs.

I started as a field technician and moved up to my current position over the span of 4 years. I have been in current position for 2 years. The hard work that was put in paid off. 

Work can be busy at times , management are good people to work with, team building and recognizing your co-worker is now implemented. The hardest part of the job is communication and the most enjoyable is working alone.
