As a former employee at Premium Merchant Funding, I had a truly horrible experience working for this company. From the moment I started, I could tell that something was off about the company culture and the way things were run.

First and foremost, the management at Premium Merchant Funding was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. They would often yell at employees in front of their colleagues, belittle them, and make them feel incompetent. This created a toxic work environment where employees were constantly on edge and afraid to make mistakes.

Furthermore, the workload was overwhelming and unrealistic. We were expected to work long hours, including weekends, without any compensation or recognition. The management would constantly pile on more tasks and projects, without providing the necessary resources or support. This led to burnout and high turnover rates among employees.

In addition, the company had a lack of transparency and communication. Important decisions were made without consulting the employees, and we were often left in the dark about changes or updates within the company. This lack of communication created confusion and frustration among employees.

Moreover, the company had a high-pressure sales culture that prioritized making profits over the well-being of its employees. We were constantly pushed to meet unrealistic sales targets and were reprimanded if we didn't meet them. This created a cutthroat environment where employees were pitted against each other, rather than working together as a team.

To make matters worse, the company had a history of not paying its employees on time. There were numerous instances where paychecks were delayed or incorrect, causing financial strain and stress for employees.

Overall, my time at Premium Merchant Funding was a nightmare. The toxic work environment, unrealistic workload, lack of transparency, and high-pressure sales culture made it a truly horrible experience. I would not recommend this company to anyone, whether as an employee or a client.

No base salary, no benefits, horrible work/life balance, management barely puts in any effort to train you, and the office environment is unprofessional, it's pretty much a boys club, loud music playing all the time and shady sales tactics. Be ready to be thrown into the wolves den on your first day. Hours are long and they have what they call "power hour" 3 times a day where they force you to cold call new leads that entire hour standing up. Speaking of new leads, the leads are horrible. Half of them are phone numbers that have either been changed, out of business/don't own a busines, or even worse already on another reps list of leads from another branch. The team leaders are almost never in the office during office hours, they're either at some restaurant or going to the gym, and then they'll get mad at you for not making enough cold calls when they are in the office. But the worse part of the job is what they call "Mishmars", where they practically force you to stay 1-3 hours after work hours for "training" which won't help you with anything. Although Mishmars are not forced to attend, you'll feel forced to because team leaders will make you feel bad for not attending them and accuse you of not being a "hard worker", give me a break I've been in the office for 10 hours without pay and you're expecting me to stay an extra 1-3 hours for useless tips and shady sales tactics? Just stop. Please do yourself a favor and don't work for this company or any of their branches. And on a last note don't fall for all the different positions they have posted on Indeed such as "Financial Sales Representative", "Lead Generator" or "Account Executive", it's all the same position. 

A typical day at work is filled with motivation and inspiration. From day one, I felt a sense of purpose and knew that I could achieve anything I set my mind to. The work environment was supportive and encouraged me to speak up for myself. 

One of the things I learned during my time here was about the product and service we provide to our customers. This opened my mind to the unlimited possibilities and taught me how to open new doors in the most efficient ways. 

The management team was a great source of motivation and inspiration. They were always there to guide and support us, even in high-pressure situations. Being around such motivated managers and great people allowed me to create a new perspective in life.

The workplace culture was positive and inclusive. Everyone was treated with respect and valued for their contributions. Collaboration and teamwork were encouraged, which made the work environment enjoyable and productive.

The hardest part of the job was managing multiple tasks and deadlines. However, it also taught me valuable time management and prioritization skills.

The most enjoyable part of the job was seeing the impact we had on our customers and the satisfaction they expressed. It was rewarding to know that our work made a difference in their lives.

Overall, my experience at this company has been transformative. It has shaped my mindset and vision for the future. I am grateful for the opportunities and growth I have experienced here.

I've been working in the Montreal branch for almost 2.5 years now. It took me 4 weeks to make my first sale and 3 months to really get the hang of things. I've seen people come and go, people move up in the company very quickly, people not make a sale in months, people quit for not making money and leave for other job opportunities. I've had months where I've made over 20k USD in commission, I've also had months where I've made close to $0. This company has made self made millionaires and people who've lost money as they've worked months without making a sale. You either do well at this job or it's not for you. You'll normally figure it out within a couple of months. I got a promotion a year in and another promotion 2 years in. The office is loud, strong sense of a brotherhood, stress is in the air and it's 100% commission without a base salary. You will either love or hate the environment. It's absolutely not for everyone, but this is a great fit for me personally and ambitious professionals that want a Wall Street environment. Sales experience is not a must as we offer extensive training but it can certainly help. I sacrificed 2 years of my life to make a living I'm proud of, luckily you don't work weekends so you can still enjoy yourself but be ready to work up to 60 hours a week.

The team leaders are self interested, rude and extremely dishonest. You are operating as an independent contractor with no base pay, benefits or security whatsoever. On your first day you will be fast talked about how you can become a millionaire seeling Merchant Cash Advance on full commission but the actual potential to earn is misleading. The commissions often change, reps have little control over files, processors are slow to get offers and often make mistakes with submissions. You have to request to be paid, even when the money is due to you. Hard work and dedication is expected of you yet not rewarded even on the most basic level. The focus is always on new applications, not so much funding. Closing ratios across the board are low comparable to industry standards.

If you're considering working here, think twice. This company is the textbook definition of poor leadership and a cutthroat, shark-infested environment. Management is completely disconnected from the day-to-day reality of their teams and operates with a toxic mix of arrogance and incompetence. There's zero transparency, no clear direction, and any feedback—no matter how constructive—is either ignored or punished.

The leadership promotes a culture of blame, favoritism, and survival of the fittest, where throwing others under the bus is often rewarded. Collaboration is nonexistent because everyone's too busy watching their backs. Morale is consistently low, turnover is sky-high, and any talent the company does manage to attract usually doesn’t stick around for long.

If you're looking for a place that values integrity, respect, or actual leadership—look elsewhere.

While the absence of a base salary may initially give pause, it's a transparent aspect communicated upfront during the interviews. 

Basically, it's a place for leaders to shine, learn, and run with the market's best wolves. 

If you're driven and ambitious, this is where you belong! 

PMF is an atypical job. You work long-hours, you have repetitive tasks and you don't get necessarily the results you are aiming for. However, its a job that can make you very successful if you put your time and energy in it. You got to be ready mentally and physically to take on the challenge, but it is feasible after a few months of hard work. 

Each representative is sorted in teams with each a different team leader. This creates a solid group of people you meet. Also in general, each person is very open to help, give advice and tips on their experience;  but you got to be also very proactive. 

This job is not made for everyone, its way harder than your typical job, but as everyone knows higher risk = higher rewards. 

This work environment has several drawbacks that could impact your professional and personal life. Firstly, there is no consideration for work-life balance, and it may lead to a stressful lifestyle. The managers expect you to work from Monday to Thursday, starting at 9 am and finishing at 9 pm, which could be exhausting and leave you with minimal personal time. Secondly, this job is commission-based pay only and offers no employer benefits, which could lead to financial instability and insecurity. Moreover, the requirement to make 500 cold calls every day is daunting, and not meeting this target is frowned upon, which could add to the stress and pressure. 

It's a fantastic location to launch a finance career. Everyone is professional, helpful, and kind. Despite my knowledge in finance, PMF has taught me more about the financial world. Being a professional financial representative, you may improve your communication skills and gain more understanding about products and the workings of the financial industry. Excellent environment at work, where everyone is eager to learn new things, improve their talents, and collaborate with others. Working at this organisation has taught me more about finance than my previous employment did. I sincerely appreciate all of the opportunities that PMF has provided for me.
