When I was hired at Price, I was genuinely excited and motivated. I worked extremely hard, regularly put in extra hours, and spent more time in the office than many others on my team. I was committed to doing well and contributing positively.

I had a challenging client and raised concerns confidentially with my manager during a weekly check-in, expecting support and guidance. Unfortunately, the client became upset after receiving feedback, and shortly after I was placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). During this time, despite dealing with significant personal stress, I worked as hard as I possibly could. I was consistently told in weekly meetings that my work was strong, that management was impressed, and that I had nothing to worry about. Then, the day before my PIP was scheduled to end, I was terminated.

At the same time, I was experiencing ongoing workplace bullying. I raised this with my manager as well, as it was seriously impacting my mental health and making it difficult to come to work. The situation was ultimately handled in favor of the other employee due to seniority, which left me feeling unsupported and unheard.

Not everyone at the company was negative. One of my managers was truly excellent and remains someone I respect greatly, and a few coworkers were kind and supportive. However, overall, the company’s stated values and principles are not always reflected in practice, and workplace culture and egos often overshadow fairness, transparency, and employee well-being.

Working  at Price Industries can be a daunting experience due to the toxic behavior exhibited by senior management. The environment is plagued by bullying tactics, which negatively impact employee morale and well-being.One of the most distressing aspects of working at Price Industries is the behavior of senior management. Instead of fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture, they resort to intimidation and bullying tactics. This behavior creates a hostile environment where employees feel undervalued and fearful.Furthermore, the lack of accountability within the organization allows these toxic behaviors to persist unchecked. Employees are often left feeling powerless to address their concerns, as speaking out against senior management comes with the risk of retaliation.The impact of this toxic work environment extends beyond individual employees, affecting team dynamics and overall productivity. When employees are constantly subjected to bullying and intimidation, it hinders their ability to collaborate effectively and perform at their best.Overall, Price Industries fails to prioritize the well-being of its employees, allowing a culture of bullying to thrive within the organization. Until senior management takes concrete steps to address these issues and foster a more respectful and supportive workplace environment, Price Industries will continue to be a challenging place to work. Prospective employees should approach with caution.

You will feel youre in a good place to work during interview process, nice looking place, everyone is smiling. Last 2017, I worked here at price mechanical at egesz street not the ralegh street location for only 1month night shift. If you're fast at your work, next step of the process will tell you to slow down, people work without a goal of being productive for the company which means they are not motivated to exceed the target. Microwaves are very dirty, washrooms not clean. They have regular cleaner but i dont think higher management dont do audit and inspection for this small details. When i was fired out, i asked what did i do wrong, supervisor just told me that they dont want my service anymore. That was traumatic to me knowing i did not do anything wrong and seeing everyone looking at me even union leader that i thought should be there to atleast defend every employee. I was crying driving home thinking where should i get money to pay my house and bills. Worst experience ever in my life. I have a better job now and a leader, with what happened to me i became a good leader guiding my co employee on how they will grow specially on a newly hired that i trained, i kept on telling them my experience here.

An extremely stressful workplace due to poor management and policies. Expect lots of unpaid/ uncompensated overtime due to unrealistic deadlines. They refuse to compensate for overtime (no pay or time in lieu of) but expect you to meet deadlines by working overtime or will be looked down on ( boss actually said I would be less likely considered for advancement, pay increase,etc if i didn’t). For example If you have to get to work early or stay late to deal with factory, design issue, etc you are not allowed to leave early and this overtime is not tracked and you will never get that time back. Salary workers in Manitoba by labor laws are to be compensated for overtime. They get around this by saying ‘we are not asking you to do this overtime but we are asking you to get your job done’ which requires overtime. I probably racked up 100+ hours of overtime trying to get the job done. You don’t get standard 2 weeks vacation. (Some colleagues got 0 some got 1). Christmas bonus was 20$ cash. They are borderline following manitoba labor laws if at all. Huge turn around in every group/ devision due to above reasons. #notmyprice.

Do not work at price electronics. They will underpay and the management does not care about their employees. 

I was let go with out cause (they in fact flat out refused to tell me why I was being fired and tried to get me to sign confidentiality agreement and wave my legal rights by offering me and extra 2 weeks pay on top of what they legally had to give me). 


Worked there for 4 years. At year 3 new manager came in and problems began. 

Several times I tried to enquirer as to how I could improve my job performance and was met with cryptic non answers. 

Manager had some sort of personal issue with me and despite them trying to find issues with my work they couldn't in over a year worth of trying. They ended up terminating me without cause (and my wife had just given birth a few months earlier). Again I say management doesn't care about the employees and you are disposable.

Now employed doing similar work getting paid a lot more and excelling in the position. Issues at price were clearly not with me.

- A typical day was generally busy.
- During my time I learned a lot of new things relating to large scale manufacturing. 
- One of the bigger issues i saw in my time was the total separation of Values that are talked about by the CEO and President and what is actually done by the middle management. The different areas of the company are managed differently depending on the manager. This can be good and bad as one group sees that one area has certain privileges that a different area does.  
- From the outside looking in it is portrayed as a great fun environment but as soon as you are there. you are driven to the end f your rope with work often needing to work threw lunch or after hours to complete projects in the escalated timelines.
- meeting the crazy time lines that the sales staff promise the customers / reps.
- Working with the people you meet on the job. I know i have made some life long friends

IT desktop support can be a bit laid back on some days otherwise it can very busy. Mostly busy supporting the production side than supporting the office. If this is your first IT job all means work here to gain the experience but working in different industries myself not the place to work at if you want to expand your career development and learn outside the box versus inside the box. Found the job/role spirit draining. There is a career development goal but all depends on management for it to be approved and if its in the scope of your role.  Some of the tools as in software they are using is legacy but they are improving in the environment. You'll learn a lot in a bigger enterprise organization how the ITIL is like.

Culture here can be abit toxic depending which department you are in.  I had a wonderful team and department I was in. However the I.T. teams can improve as in team structure, having an agile/scrum development. Tier 2 Infrastructure team if you want to take it to the next step with your IT career. 





This company benefits greatly from being highly successful in their primary market (HVAC Equipment), and a president who cares and invests in their software department.

Management is mostly good, with a good mix of capable project managers, and business analysts, as well as good mix of end users integrated with the software team.

Culture is kinda bla, there really isn't one to speak of. It's so laid back that you almost get bored. That said, you'll be working with a senior level staff, as well as some of the most skilled developers I've met in Winnipeg.

Work life balance is exceptional. I've not worked with a software company before or since who has mastered this the way price has. You really do get mostly a 9-5 type job, which outside of government is pretty much unheard of.

The typical day at work is busy, I believed I learned something from my own. Trainings for leadership is not mandatory.
Managers on the floor are childish and often engage to politics. They have favoritism. Supervisors are not supportive and effective, most of the supervisors hired do not have the qualifications to become one. Workplace culture on some departments are toxic. The hardest part of the job is working under a manager and supervisor that are not supportive and collaborative.  Supervisor that will take the credits that are due to associates. Supervisor that is threaten by the associates potential to become a leader. 
The most enjoyable part of the job is working with a team that has respect and camaraderie. A team that share the same goals when it comes to work.

I was new with the company and very eager to use my skills and knowledge with a reputable company when a few weeks in my parent fell ill and surgery was needed immediately. I recieved a phone call about my parent not doing well and that I should come to see him from the doctor as maybe it was going to be the last time I would see them. I called the company and let them know the situation. I  was told to be an adult and that work is more important. I decided to visit my parent who was clinging to life. I went to work the next day and that evening I was fired. This company comes off like they are family orientated and that they care but they don't care about talented employees or their lives or families. If you've worked hard in your life to attain excellent job skills and training I would 100% not take your business as an employee to this company. Time is precious, don't waste yours on this company like I unfortunately had to. Their loss!
