Pride Marine Group has everything to offer you as a part of your employment experience. The workplace culture is well-defined and gives you a sense of a well-knit family atmosphere. People make the business and their management staff show that above and beyond perspective in every way. The company wants to see you succeed in every way. They even give you an action plan if you decide that you want to venture into management. Employee growth is always encouraging which gives me the desire to look more into other opportunities. Everything in the hiring process went very smoothly and I like how they cater to your needs right from the start. I especially like how they were willing to negotiate pay, even though I was comfortable with the starting rate. Well established, well-defined, and well-cultured. You can not ask for anything more from Pride Marine Group except for a handshake and a warm welcome.

A typical day at Pride Marine in Orillia started at 630am where I would clean all the offices and the bathrooms, then at 8am when everyone else came in we would have our "safety meeting" then from there I would plan the boats I had to clean that day which usually went out the next day (they would only ever give you a day in advance to clean them) I would clean anywhere from 5-15 boats a day, with little to know help. most days I went home around 630pm, working every Saturday is a must and during the months of may, june, September and November you are required to work 7days a week.  the Detailers do not get benefits either, they are considered seasonal workers even though at the Orillia location you work all year round.
  you give your all to this company and they just take and take until you have nothing left.

Place sets you up for failure. My first year there was wonderful, but then things changed for the worst due to staffing issues and quality of employees that were hired. Structure fell to the ground at our location and no matter how much it was brought up nothing changed. Management didn't care. One person can only do so much and when there's no structure being followed it makes the job of other employees working hard even harder. Perfection was still expected even though there was a serious problem. Apply if you love working your absolute hardest with no support or benefit for your hard work and if you like doing multiple job descriptions without additional pay. 

I would consider this a stepping stone for most positions in this company.
If you have a half a brain, you will be able to be recognized as doing well.
Their philosophy is "if you show up for work, you're already doing 70% of the job"

Long summer hours, super short winter ones, if at all.

Many positions. In the office, on the water, in the shop, etc.
If you play the game, you will get somewhere.
If you aren't a game-player, the experience looks nice on a resume.

Not a bad team, but no one really knows what's going on.
Really reactive, rarely proactive.

This is by far the best job I have had. We work hard however we also have fun doing it. Upper management has been extremely supportive and are easy to talk to. They want to help you and give you direction whenever you ask. They are very clear with the vision and give you the tools to make the vision happen. The company cares about their employees and like to promote from within. As the company is growing, there is lots of opportunities to try different positions and move up within the company. It gets crazy in the spring and fall but it's no different than any other companies busy season. 

Upper management within this company has no idea if they are coming or going. There is zero accountability for their constant missteps, so they take those missteps out on the employees. There is obscenely high turnover company wide. If you’re willing to kiss some serious a** for nothing in return this is the place for you. They get one person to do the work of 3 people and then when you inevitably fall behind they fire you. You’re set up to fail from the minute you walk in the door on your first day. 

Run. Don’t walk. Run away from a potential employment opportunity here.

I am trying to figure out why anyone would leave a negative review about Pride Marine Group. You only get out what you put in a job, and it takes hard work if you have goals that you want to achieve. You have to start somewhere to get your feet wet, so I applied at Pride Marine Group as an entry-level employee, and after 6 months I started management training. All of this happened because of the plan of action management created for me when I showed interest during my interview. The Pride Marine Group management team will create a path to success for anyone. The only thing you have to do is to embrace it.

As a service manager, you are always understaffed and upper management continues to make promises to the customers which are unattainable with your staffing level, customer service should be your primary priority however the mighty dollar is the only concern they are interested in. Customers are often having repairs done which are not needed, as a service manager being asked to lie to customers to increase your bottom line is appalling,  you should reconsider this if they are offering you a position

Pride Marine Group is truly a great place to work. It is hard to find the right work/life balance when selecting a place to work; however, Pride Marine Group makes it easy for you to schedule your needs around your work schedule. The workload is manageable, but there is always a team effort which makes the atmosphere very comfortable to be in. Job development and training are always available. First impressions are everything to me, and I was very highly impressed with the welcome I got from Pride Marine Group.

I have worked at places that were only considered a “job”; however, when I walked through the doors of Pride Marine Group. I immediately knew that I had finally found my career. Most employment only gives you the foundation to do a job, but Pride Marine Group gives you the foundation and the total blueprint that will help you achieve whatever goal that you have in mind that you want to pursue. I wasn’t looking to pursue management at first, but after I saw the career path that I needed to take, I was more than ready to make that transition.
