What is the best part of working at the company?
Enjoyed the job, unfortunately the only thing Primark cares about is saving the budged as that ofcourse comes from the expense of employees. I am 40 year old, after working 6 months for the Primark, I was told that they don't have a budget to keep me on, despite being short of staff. Within 10 days there was advert for Primark vacancy I applied waited for over two months for their reply, only to be told they are not going to invite me for the interview, I wander why?   

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Worrying weather they offer a contract extension ( as I was given  two 3 months contracts) or being made redundant, no job security.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Colleagues are nice. Unfortunately all Primark cares about is saving the money. During the summer time was really stuffy and uncomfortable in store, and when we asked for cooling units was told it was  out of stock, noone cared that staff had headaches and cramps from overheating, colleagues collapsed during the shifts.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Business as usual and trying to cope with the heat.

No typical day or week in Primark, constant changing environment, with the need for variety in communication skills and clear expectations set for myself and my team. A day would involve a variety of stock management controls for the whole store, conducting commercial walks and challenging decisions being made by all my managers. Ensuring the working environment was kept compliant and in line with company procedures and processes.
Dealing with multiple floors and departments ensuring a balance across the store as a whole is created and setting clear plans and being organised throughout a day and week. 
Replying to emails and launching any company communication.
The culture was vast with a broad range of experience, and dealing with pros and cons daily from all staff and management.
Dealing with poor performing management, a long process, which I have been hands on with during a long period of time.
The rewards of KPIs and involving the whole store within those successes, ensuring all are aware and bringing the team together.

I really enjoyed working for Primark. I feel within the 4 years I worked there I learned so much with regards to working with the public and working with fellow colleagues. I met life long friends working in Primark and will always be grateful for that. The roles in which I worked within my years at Primark would be different every working day, one day I could spend the day on a till, handling money, the next day I could be handling the fitting rooms in the morning and on the shop floor that afternoon, folding or taking out stock. The management was easy to get along with and they respected their employees, with regards to switching shifts or days off etc. The hardest part of the job I feel was we received a lot of challenging costumers daily which was sometimes difficult but I have never came across a situation in which I couldn't handle. Primark is a very busy shop so it would be very very unusual to not be doing anything at any given time which made the day go in quickly.

A typical day for me in Munster AI and Farm Services would be in the morning sending out bills to customers and filing documents. Distrubite the mail to eveyone in the office. Input information on Sage. Answer and direct calls to different parts of the office and if there not there take messages. Take orders off of customers and in put it into Sage. Also send the orders to AI lab so it can be filled. Greet visitors and arrange meetings with the staff.Dealing with queries from the customer and trying to sort it or if not directing them to the person they needed to talk to.  Keep track of supplies needed in the office. Collect the mail and send it out. The management of Munster AI were very nice people very easy to work with and very helpful.The most enjoyable part of my day was interacting with the people who came into the office or also on the phone. I learned a lot with Munster AI as they gave me experience and taught me how to use Sage.

Overall working at Primark was not bad, however employees have selected times they are allowed to book holiday and it is a requirement that Saturday staff work ALL bank holidays (Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day etc.) which leaves little time for family. 
Additionally the pay for under 18s is minimal for the amount of work the majority of the workers do. Supervisors only a year older than them earn almost double as much for doing so much less, and these supervisors have clear favourites around the store.
The most enjoyable part about working at Primark is the other retail assistants there. You can make brilliant friends at Primark who make your time fun.

There are fun roles such as tills or changing rooms however the difficulty and test of character is when you are doing 'zoning' being stationed to fold and clean an area. At times it can get very messy as people tend to dump clothes and there should be a way the company figures out to display clothes accordingly. However, there was adequate opportunity for overtime, good breaks and pay but folding clothes for hours at a time can be difficult especially when there is no choice in the matter and sometimes no orientation between roles. Management was very good in my experience.

the hardest part was probably going in and just having to deal with things full on like trying to fold and figuring out where everything was

Good working environment with fair rates if pay and always opportunities for advancement within the comoany.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The christmas holidays are always very busy and quite stressful.

Calm and friendly. All cultures are respected and celebrated.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I only wotk part time so my day goes very fast. I replenish stock and maintain shop

I normally worked on till. The shift was always busy but there was always help if needed. The management was happy with everyone's work production and made sure you knew what was asked of you before the shift started. The job was not exactly difficult due to the help the other coworkers gave. Everyone pulled their weight to make sure the shift went well. The flexibility and calmness of the shifts and job overall was most enjoyable part of it as i have work in stressful environments that have made sifts just bearable.

What is the best part of working at the company?
My first job in the UK, and had a great experience working with them. I learned so many new things in this Job.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
At weekends and during Christmas month, it gets too busy.

It is very friendly and they taught me so many new things. Build my confidence
