What is the best part of working at the company?
Best trucking job out there hands down ! if you’re willing to work you can make some really good money. New trucks on site mechanic shop. bonuses RRSP, Dispatch is super easy to work with . If you do your job, they leave you alone. Family owned . Bulk propane, pedal propane, chemical ,ammonia anhydrous, cement, liquid asphalt lots of stuff to do. Anybody that leaves always try to come back. if you know you know.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Same with any trucking job driving out there with all the knuckleheads.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The company has been going through some upgrades and structure increases in the office Owner is a good guy feels like a family run business.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
For the most part, really decent cruising in a new truck really good equipment . never rushed in almost 9 years. I’ve never been asked once to hurry up or. or suggested to make up time not once.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I was written up for legally passing a car on a 2 lane highway, the person I passed was doing 70 km , they have 2 way camera's and they watch all the time

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with management, and mostly dealing with safety and compliance 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They pretend it's a family environment, it's not, everyone in management is looking to nail someone for something, making a name for them selves 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start in Ayr , run to Sarnia or Corunna load and deliver to mactier, Gravenhurst, Minden, bobcaygeon and do it in 14 hrs, because that's all they will pay you for, if it takes longer you need to either mess with your log( computer) or sleep were you run out of hours, usually give up 7-8 hours a week

I've worked as office staff for Primemax for several years and its a great company. Salary and compensation is fair and very competitive in my experience- there's always reward for a job well done/successful year. 

The culture is interesting as there's probably less than 20 office staff, 40 drivers (more than that during busy season), 4-5 service people and a few mechanics. It seems like a lot of employees but the company still maintains a small company feel. Everyone knows everyone and people are always perceptive to if you're having issues at home or in your personal life. Very empathetic people who truly care about you outside of the workplace. 

I would definitely recommend this company and I encourage all to apply and see for yourselves.

Hours are great, i was home every night and people here are always willing to swap shifts or cover. They do lots of stuff inside, once a month id say they bring in food or hire someone to do lunch or something which is nice. training was good and everyone was willing to help you learn

pay is good compared to other places in the area and there's a safety bonus which is a nice extra

work does slow down after the spring which is one of the only downsides,but they always make sure you still get your hours so i respect that.

I am a current employee of primaxenergy. 
I started 3 months ago I have been driving truck 20 years I got sick of seasonal positions I got sick of paid by the load and mileage I needed and had to have an hourly wage with good benefits. 

They have safety bonus as an incentive incl. Keeping your truck clean. It's decent. Benefits unbeatable matched pension.

Love what you do and do what you love. Great work experience. I love being kept busy and that is what I got. Loved every minute. From first aid, filing, creating all the letterhead and forms, mail and courier distribution, storage and maintenance details, meeting and training organizer and accounts payable and Microsoft expert; I loved what I did. Helping other girls to do their jobs with ease and making the managers jobs comfortable. 

If you have a home life forget it in busy season...they will run you 16 hrs a day if they can..no overtime at all ...the disbatch for bulk drivers hasn't a clue of what goes on...they tell you 9 hrs..its whenever the truck is empty...so after you have done 30 plus calls and you still have product guess what they add more ..the guys that have been there for awhile are treated way better than you will ever be...

Great place with great people. If you are willing to learn, they are willing to teach, if you are just looking for something with a paycheque at the end of the week, this may not be for you.

Was hired in the fall of 2018 with the expectation and word from management that this position was secure and looking for long term employees. One week before my 3 months probationary period was up, I was relieved of my duties and expressed that they were going through organizational restructuring. Good place, however very concerning considering they have removed several of my previous coworkers.
