Working here has significantly strengthened my problem-solving skills, time management, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced industrial setting. I’ve learned a lot about oil sands operations, safety protocols, and field engineering best practices.

Management is approachable and focused on safety and productivity. They provide clear expectations and support, especially in navigating complex field conditions.

The workplace culture promotes teamwork, safety-first mindset, and continuous learning. There’s a high level of professionalism and respect among all trades and departments.

The hardest part of the job is adapting to changing field conditions and tight deadlines, especially during shutdowns or peak construction phases.

The most enjoyable part is the sense of accomplishment from solving real-world challenges and contributing to the success of large-scale projects with a dedicated team.

My experience working as a Material Coordinator at Primoris has been both professionally rewarding and personally fulfilling. The role has given me the opportunity to grow and develop a wide range of new skills.

One of the things I’ve appreciated most is the company’s strong leadership and knowledgeable management team. They don’t just direct—they teach. As long as you show a willingness to learn, they are more than willing to share their knowledge and experience. That support has made a big difference in my growth and confidence on the job.

Collaboration is also a key strength at Primoris. Across different sites and teams, there is a culture of support and teamwork. Even if you’ve never met someone before, you can count on others to step in and help when it’s needed. That kind of camaraderie fosters a sense of unity and shared purpose that truly stands out.

But what really makes Primoris a great place to work is the people. It’s a team of hard workers who know how to get the job done—but also know how to enjoy the process. The balance of professionalism and a fun, positive work atmosphere makes it easy to look forward to coming to work each day.

Overall, working at Primoris has been an incredible experience—one that has helped shape me both as a professional and as a team player.


I worked for this company for over 5 years, and I am happy to say I’ll never be returning and warn anyone to stay far away. Incompetent management and leadership made my time there very exhausting and toxic. I worked through countless breaks just to get “numbers”. Management is aware of what goes on and yet nothing is done. They move people up very quickly because people want to quit as soon as they find out that what they pay is not worth the headache that place will give you. Clac benefits were fine but at the end of the day they’re working for the employers not the employees. I can’t speak for everyone but my experience was very terrible working there. You work straight time for a week on week off. (Which makes the pay very underwhelming for the work that is being done). The company is aware of the problems yet won’t fix them, so employees come and go. Toxic work environment and a very poor culture of putting the work before the people the perform the work. I will never return. 

A typical day at work as a manager involves arriving before employees. Reviewing personal and employee plan of the day. coaching direct reports, conduct site visits to active projects. 

Learning is a constant over the course of our lives especially at primoris, where we strive to invoke innovation, removing process redundancies, reinforcing collaboration in our growth individually, professionally and as an organization with a focus on customer service.

Management and workplace culture, the team of leaders in the organization own all aspects of our business beginning with culture. Taking care of ourselves and our sub-teams, demonstrate and seek understanding and always challenging ourselves to ask "is this our best".

Hardest part of my job is being away. The most enjoyable part of my job is celebrating the successes and coaching to mitigate undesirable outcomes.

 

Having worked in various industries and for companies of different sizes, I can confidently say that Primoris Canada stands out as one of the best employers I’ve experienced. The company provides an ideal balance of freedom and guidance, allowing me to effectively accomplish my tasks. This supportive environment is particularly valuable to me as a full-time working mom, as it ensures a healthy work-life balance.

The entire staff at Primoris Canada is incredibly friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to assist each other. Although learning a new industry has been challenging, the unwavering support from my peers and manager has made the transition significantly smoother.

What I enjoy most about working at Primoris Canada is the trust and autonomy they give their employees. This empowerment fosters a sense of responsibility and motivation, making my job both fulfilling and enjoyable.

Being a part of a great diverse team of people that get to fly in from all parts of Canada stay in a great camp with lots of activities and good food is an awesome way to make a good living.  Our management leads from the top down and recognizes that safety is the most important element of growing our business with safe production and a joint collaboration with our client. For some that have families waiting for them,  the hardest part of the job is being away from home for either one or two week shifts, but for me I find that I get more out of the one or two weeks I get at home in return!  The balance is hard to beat, everything is covered while I am in camp including the flights to Calgary and Edmonton. It truly beats every other opportunity in the industry hands down. 

Primoris offers a fast-paced environment with plenty of opportunities to take initiative and improve processes. As a Service Desk Manager, I’ve appreciated the autonomy to lead my team and the support from leadership when tackling challenges. Communication and structure can sometimes be inconsistent across departments, but efforts are being made to improve this. Overall, it’s a good place to grow your career if you’re proactive and solution-oriented.

Primoris Canada has been a solid company to work with in the oilfield construction industry. I've had the chance to experience their strong focus on safety and the skilled workforce they have in place. Working primarily in Alberta, they offer a variety of services, including pipeline construction and industrial maintenance, which gives employees exposure to diverse projects.
In my experience, the company promotes a collaborative work environment and provides plenty of opportunities for career growth. I’ve also been impressed with the competitive compensation packages. That said, I think there’s room for improvement in areas like structured training programs and communication from management. Overall, though, it’s a great place to build a career in the industry.

Workdays can range from fast paced to regular paced workdays. A good company to learn the aspects of the pipeline industry, as well as other trades as Primoris is a very diverse company. The management is some of the best I have worked for, very experienced and safety minded. The safe work culture at Primoris has been one of the main aspects that has kept me working for this company for several years. The client can be challenging at times but management is good at controlling deadlines and unrealistic work targets.   The people are the best part of the job as you can feel the family atmosphere as soon as you walk through the doors for the first time. 

I feel very grateful to work at PSC, I have spent with my colleagues more time than I have at home, the Safety culture, and the support of the directives to pursue high standards on quality and deliverables to our clients have position the company on the right track. I truly believe there is a lot more for the company to growth and the hard work of everyone is appreciate it. Management is also approachable, and they made presence in the field and engage employees during Job site visits and corporate meetings. There is opportunity for everyone to become a better professional and expand their knowledge. I recommend everyone that is looking for a career in the Construction industry to join the team and be part of the PSC family!
